The Present Situation And Development Of Inter-Korean Relations Under Moon Jae-in’s "Korean Peninsula For Peace And Prosperity"

The issue of North-South relations is the focus of Northeast Asia,which has not been resolved for many years.The Korean Peninsula is arguably the "living fossil"left behind after the Cold War.The domestic problems caused by the impeachment of the president and the rigid north-south relations of North Korea’s sixth nuclear test are very difficult.After Mr.Moon took office,he launched a policy of "peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula."Countries have high expectations of the impact of their policies."Peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula "bot" sunshine policy" of peace,reconciliation,cooperation,there are"peace and prosperity policy" of Huairou,"peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula" policy as a basis for further deepening and perfecting the DPRK policy of President Kim Dae-jung and Roh Moo-hyun,is more suitable to solve the current Korean Peninsula problems of the DPRK policy.Since the promulgation and implementation of the "peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula" policy in 2018,there has been a lot of positive interaction between the North and south,as well as substantial changes.The process of advancing north-south relations has been fruitful.The gradual return of political trust between the two Koreas has eased tensions over the Korean Peninsula,and talks between the two countries to discuss humanitarian issues such as reunions of separated families have been held by the Red Cross.The government of Moon has achieved remarkable results since the implementation of North and South Policy,and thus improved relations between the two Koreas.A peaceful and friendly policy toward North Korea does not completely resolve the crux of the situation on the Korean Peninsula.The situation on the Korean Peninsula is multi-pronged,with interference from major powers,the Korean nuclear issue,and partisan issues within the country,among other things,hindering further development of North-South relations.At present,the relationship between North Korea and the United States is not stable.In the future,there will still be more factors that will inhibit the further development of North-South relations.The United States is a major external factor affecting north-south relations,and its policy toward North Korea is a crucial variable in resolving the Korean nuclear issue.The process of denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is a key node that directly affects relations between the DPRK and the United States.Looking back on the political history of President Moon Jae-in,the outcome of the process of promoting North-South relations has been remarkable,but it has not fundamentally resolved the security situation on the Korean Peninsula.There is still much uncertainty about the future situation on the Korean Peninsula,but the expectation of the north-south to pursue peaceful development and the willingness of Northeast Asia countries to properly resolve North-South relations will not be weakened by external environmental interference.
