| Since the 1990s,globalization has become the main theme of The Times. On the one hand, globalization brings about the flow of capital in the global scope and makes the political, economic and cultural links among countries in the world increasingly close. On the other hand, while globalization brings benefits,it also intensifies the imbalance of development among countries and deepens the contradictions among various social strata within countries, thus giving rise to a series of social problems related to globalization. As an important part of globalization, the European integration organization has also made important contributions to the development of Europe since its establishment. However, with the further development of the European integration,it inevitably shows many drawbacks, which makes the governments and people of member states increasingly dissatisfied with the EU,and euroscepticism prevails.Among all the doubts, the Brexit event is the most eye-catching.The Brexit is the product of the domestic contradictions accumulated to a certain stage, and also the outbreak of the negative impact in the process of European integration. As a wave of populism sweeps across Europe and the US,a number of right-wing populist parties in Europe are beginning to emerge and even become part of the cabinet.Nor has Britain been insulated from the populist tide.Britain to take off the next is a mature democracy "subaltern victory",from the UK independence party once rise to take off the take off the pie in a referendum to win,to have been deadlocked negotiations with the European Union, also suffered a parliamentary vote against the agreement, take off the time delay again and again, led to the "off the farce" lasted for three and a half years ago, transformed from "European" off "drag",which many factors have played an important role, but the political populist undoubtedly played a very important role. Therefore,it is of great significance to study British politics in the context of Brexit from the perspective of populism, which not only has great influence on the current UK,but also on the EU and even the whole world. This paper first reviews the Brexit and analyzes the manifestations of populism in the brexit.Secondly,it analyzes the reasons for the rise of populism from the aspects of political party system, historical tradition, political identity, popular foundation and media. Then it discusses the impact of populism in the "Brexit" event on British party politics,British society and globalization. Finally,it concludes that the most important thing to deal with populism is to make clear the reasons for its existence and take corresponding measures to solve these problems. |
