Research On India’s Foreign Policy In Russia Since The New Century

Abstract/Summary:
India is a major country in South Asia,with the largest population and territory in the region.It is also the south Asian country with the strongest navy in the Indian Ocean.As one of the emerging economies in the 21 st century,India has always adhered to the dream of being a "great power" and actively developed its foreign cooperation in the fields of politics,economy,military,national defense,diplomacy,science and technology,and education.In the 21 st century,India adjusted its foreign strategy in accordance with changes in domestic and foreign environments,vigorously developed diplomatic relations with Russia,and re-established a strategic partnership with Russia.Starting from 2000,this article starts with the "Declaration of Strategic Partnership between the Government of India and the Government of the Russian Federation" signed by India and Russia,and reviews the diplomatic relations between Russia and Russia signed by the three governments of Prime Minister Vajpayee,Prime Minister Singh and Prime Minister Modi.Policy,with description,interpretation and analysis as the main line,study the background and content of India ’s foreign policy to Russia in the new century,and summarize its characteristics,effectiveness and challenges.Chapter One,Introduction.It mainly expounds the significance of the thesis topic selection,the current research situation at home and abroad,the research content,the research method and the difficulties and creative points.The second chapter mainly elaborates the domestic and foreign background of India’s foreign policy towards Russia.As far as the international background is concerned,it mainly starts from the four aspects of changes in the international pattern,the international counter-terrorism cooperation situation,economic globalization,and Russia ’s Asia-Pacific strategy;the domestic background is mainly the impact of the ancient Indian Kodiliyah thinking on India,and Indian leaders.The succession to realism,the domestic military’s urgent need for input of external forces,the stability of India’s political situation have laid the foundation for diplomacy,and the domestic economic development has generally improved in five areas.The third chapter mainly elaborates the main contents and characteristics of the Indian government’s foreign policy towards Russia in the new century.The main content has been elaborated from eight aspects,including: diplomacy,politics,military,economy and trade,energy,anti-terrorism,science and technology,education and cultural exchanges.By analyzing the contents of the policy,it is concluded that India ’s foreign policy towards Russia has the characteristics of non-military alliance,strong realism,stability and continuous promotion and willingness to cooperate throughout.Chapter four mainly elaborates India’s analysis of Russia’s foreign policy.First of all,India ’s foreign policy towards Russia has achieved success,including the maturity and stability of cooperation in the military field,high-level exchanges of visits to promote good economic and trade cooperation,good progress in energy and nuclear energy cooperation,and India ’s successful conversion to the official membership of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.Second,India’s implementation of Russia’s foreign policy also faces challenges.India ’s arms import market has gradually diversified,and Russia ’s market share has decreased;India ’s economic and trade investment and scale have increased room for development,and India and the United States have developed resistance and impact on the implementation of India-Russia policies.Finally,this article believes that although there are many factors affecting the bilateral development of India and Russia,India ’s foreign policy towards Russia generally shows a status quo that is gradually advanced and implemented in stability.
