| In the second half of 1927,the Communist Party of China launched the Nanchang Uprising and the Guangzhou Uprising. In these two uprisings,Ye Ting played a vital role.Ye Ting, the 14th Division of the National Revolutionary Army, was one of the main forces participating in the August 1 Nanchang Uprising.Under the leadership of Ye Ting and others, the insurgents quickly occupied Nanchang and won the victory of the uprising. In addition,Ye Ting has provided valuable advice for the decision of the uprising army to go south to Guangdong. On December 11 of the same year, the Guangzhou Uprising was launched.Ye Ting,as the military commander, was scheduled to arrive in Guangzhou on the eve of the uprising.Because the enemy was strong and I was weak, and the preparatory work before the uprising was not complete enough, the uprising had an unfavorable situation on the second day.Ye Ting promptly proposed that the revolutionary army should withdraw from Guangzhou to Lu Haifeng to meet with the peasant army. The representative of the Communist International,Human, adhered to the experience of the Soviet riots in the Soviet Union and refused to accept the opinions of Ye Ting.As a result, the Guangzhou Uprising eventually failed. After the failure of the Guangzhou Uprising,Ye Ting was severely accused and punished by the party and the Communist International.Ye Ting disagreed with this and hoped to explain it.Before the Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Ye Ting arrives in Moscow and hopes to discuss the Guangzhou uprising. The appeal materials failed to receive the attention of the CCP and the Communist International. The appeal was hopeless, and then left the organization to exile in Germany.Ye Ting’s role and contribution in the Nanchang Uprising and the Guangzhou Uprising should be squarely addressed and positively evaluated. He has certain responsibilities for the failure of the Guangzhou Uprising, but his merits and faults should be treated separately.Everything must be combined with the historical conditions at that time to conduct an objective and fair evaluation. |
