A Study On Minxi Uprising In 1949

In the Period of Liberation War,there were more than 1.8 million Kuomintang(KMT)military and governmental personnel who rose in arms and pledged allegiance,which accelerated the disintegration of the Kuomintang,impelled the war and decreased quantities of losses and casualties in a large degree.On May 22nd,1949,power of groups in the west of Fujian,such as Fu Baicui,Li Hanchong and Lian Tisheng and so on,who led the KMT military and governmental personnel of four counties,Longyan,Yongding,Shanghang and Wuping rose in arms in Shanghang,announced to isolate from the KMT and accepted leadership by the Communist Party,that is called,Minxi Uprising.This article designed Baiok Collections in Academic Archives of Shanghang and classified the material by means of Philology Historical Linguistics.Based on this approach,the article explores complicated interaction between power of groups in the west of Fujian and Communist Party of Fuiian-Guangdong-Jiangxi Bairder areas and Fujian with Longyan KMT.The text expatiates the process of events of Minxi Uprising and Minxi militia reorganization from four parts.Political situation before uprising and preparation of uprising.After Three Wars(Liaoshen War,Huaihai War and Pingjin War),local power of groups speed up communication with HongKong and Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi Bairder areas of Communist Party by reshuffling local authority and carrying out improvement to express sincerity.What's more,local power of groups moved with local KMT and protected people's position.Finally,they announced to rise to arms.The administration of Minxi militia temporary committee.The chief administration of Minxi after uprising was Minxi militia temporary committee.It played an increasingly important role in maintaining local social stability and financing arms and government expenditure.It was beneficial to avoid local instability and erosion,which helped to accept new government successfully.The action of military struggle of Minxi militia.With the indication of the Community Pary of Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi Bairder areas,Minxi militia advanced to Changting and emancipated Shanghang,Wuping,Yongding and Liancheng and etc.Eighteenth Group Army of the KMT entered into Fujian.Minxi militia turned to guerrilla warfare until Minxi proclamation again.The reorganization of Minxi militia.The overall situation of Minxi was stable steady tentatively.The Community Pary of Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi Bairder areas began to reorganization work.It was quite successful in setting up reorganization solution,personnel compilation and collection of shots and tools.However,it was obvious to reflect self-protection of local power of groups.
