The Asianism Of Konoe Atsumaro | | Posted on:2021-05-10 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Z C Niu | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2506306197483784 | Subject:East Asian history | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Konoe Atsumaro(1863-1904)is a famous politician and diplomat in the modern history of East Asia.He has successively served as the vice president of the association of East Asian States,the president of Hokkaido Association,the president of East Asia Tongwen Association and the leader of the National Alliance,he is one of the representatives of Japanese Asianism.However,his Asianism have not been fully concerned and analyzed,and need further study and discussion.This paper takes the diaries and comments of Konoe Atsumaros as the main reference materials,and takes the contemporary works and current reviews as references and supplements to analyze and introduce the formation background,content changes and historical influence of Konoe Atsumaro ’s Asianism.In the introduction part,the research topic of this paper is put forward by reviewing the previous research on Konoe Atsumaro.The first chapter focuses on the background of the formation of Konoe Atsumaro’s Asianism.This paper focuses on the analysis of the growing environment,the early Asianism and the Nationalism of the Seikyosya,and probes into the profound relationship between them and Konoe Atsumaro’s Asianism.In the aspect of growth environment,this paper introduces the guiding role of his family history,education background and the personal experience in his Asianism.In the aspect of early Asianism,this paper discusses and analyzes the inheritance and development of Zeng Jize,Sone Tositora and Arao Sei’s Asianism with Konoe Atsumaro’s Asianism.In the aspect of the Nationalism of the Seikyosya,this paper analyzes the role of Nationalism in promoting the formation of Konoe Atsumaro’s Asianism.The second chapter discusses the development and changes of the main contents of the Konoe Atsumaro’s Asianism.Under the influence of Four major historical events,the development of his Asianism has gone through four stages.The first stage is the embryonic period,Konoe Atsumaro began to serve as the vice president of the association of East Asian States,but he did not make any comments on Asia.The second stage is the development period,Konoe Atsumaro made speeches and launched activities around the Sino Japanese war of 1894-1895.The third stage is the formation period.The focus of the movement of Konoe Atsumaro has shifted from Hokkaido to Korea and then to China.The corresponding theories have shifted from “Hokkaido Tushoku” to “Preaching on the mainland”,and then to “Yellow Alliance” and “Protect China”,and he established the East Asia Common Culture Association during the same period.The fourth stage is the perfection period,in which he successively served as the leader of the National Alliance.He has add the theory of “Protect China by oneself”,“Protect Manchuria” and “Return to the palace” to the theory of “Protect China”.Konoe Atsumaro advocates the theory of “Send out troops to Korea” and “Support Korea”,and defines the theory of “Support Korea” as “Japan-Korea alliance”.Konoe Atsumaro actively promote the line of foreign affairs of Japan from “Russo-Japanese coordination” to“Anglo-Japanese alliance” and “US-Japanese rapprochement”.The third chapter discusses and analyzes the historical influence of Konoe Atsumaro’s Asianism.In the first part,This paper analyzes the profound influence of Konoe Atsumaro’sAsianism on the political position,strategy and theory of Konoe Fumimaru.In the second part,this paper discusses the deep connection between the Konoe Atsumaro’s Asianism with the Late Qing Dynasty,the Russo-Japanese War,the Merger of Japan and South Korea,the Revolution of 1911 and the first World War.etc.In the third part,this paper introduces the evolution of the East Asia Common Culture College into Aichi University and the East Asia Common Culture Association into kazan kai,showing the modern heritage of Konoe Atsumaro’s Asianism. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Konoe Atsumaro, Asianism, Nationalism, diplomatic relations, Konoe Fumimaru | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
