Social Work Intervention Of Empty Nest Elderly In The Urbanization Process

In recent years,the proportion of empty nesters in China has been increasing day by day.Facing the huge data proportion of empty nesters,the whole society has paid more and more attention to the pension problem of empty nesters.The empty-nesters studied in this paper refer to the empty-nesters who move from rural areas to urban areas in the process of urbanization and form the resettlement communities.The research focuses on the old-age care dilemma they face.This paper analyzes the causes of the elderly care dilemma of empty-nesters in community A from the perspectives of personal,family and social reasons,and analyzes the needs of empty-nesters in community A to alleviate the elderly care dilemma from three aspects: the needs of families,neighbors and society,the needs of participating in community activities,and the needs of economy and medical security.They are mainly faced with the problems of single economic source,psychological barriers caused by changes in social relations,lack of social support,and poor sense of community integration,etc.The purpose of this paper is to improve these problems through individual social work and community social work.Firstly,this paper elaborates the purpose and significance of the research,introduces the theoretical basis of social work intervention in A resettlement community,and sorts out the literature on the research status.Secondly,the paper analyzes the current situation,causes,needs assessment and social support of empty nesters in community A.Thirdly,the research was carried out from the specific process of social work intervention.First,the individual cases were involved in social work,the service objects were selected,and in-depth interviews were conducted to help the client solve the existing problems in the elderly care.Then,through the intervention of community work,it builds a platform for the empty-nesters in the community to alleviate the plight of the elderly,integrates community resources,and obtains community support,so as to help them out of the predicament.Finally,the paper puts forward the countermeasures to alleviate the pension dilemma of empty-nesters in the process of urbanization,including the intervention of policies to support social work,the strengthening of community participation of empty-nesters in the resettlement communities,and the integration of various resources to provide better social support.
