Analysis Of Security Governance In Central Asia Since The End Of The Cold War

With the end of the Cold War,major changes have taken place in the international security situation and reality,and security issues have taken on a"non-traditional"transformation.Non-traditional security issues,such as environmental pollution and ecological destruction,health and public health,ethnic division and extremism,identity crisis and so on,have attracted more and more attention from all countries.Among the emerging security threats,the factors mainly affecting people’s ideology are more and more prominent,such as the factors including identity,psychological cognition and religious belief,which are more and more able to influence the security and stability of countries and regions.As a multi-ethnic and multi-religious region,various religious thoughts converge and collide in Central Asia,and religious factors inevitably become an important factor affecting national and social security.At present,the problem of religious extremism is prominent in Central Asia.Therefore,all Central Asian countries have formulated strict religious policies and actively cooperated with countries or organizations outside the region to fight against religious extremism and terrorism.In this context,religion seems to automatically become a negative factor affecting security,but on reflection,this view is one-sided.Religion,as a field related to people’s spirit and thought,plays a guiding role in people’s life and consoles their souls.The influence of religion always acts on people first,and then is reflected through people’s thoughts or behaviors.Therefore,to analyze and view the influence of religion on regional security,it is necessary to comprehensively look at how it affects people’s thoughts and behaviors in the region.This paper mainly analyzes the current security situation and main security issues in Central Asia through the theory of security governance,and holds that the current overall security situation in Central Asia tends to be stable,but there are worries in the process of stability and security risks still exist.The main security problems we face are religious extremism and its closely related terrorism,drug trafficking,external intervention and territorial and resource conflicts between countries.Then we use the self-classification theory under the constructivism theory to analyze that individuals divide themselves into different religious groups through self-group psychological cognition.Such cognition will change with the change of the situational environment,but the motivation of change is mainly two things:self-improvement and reduction of instability.It was pointed out that the more a person wanted to improve their social identity,the more likely they were to take action.In addition,the more unstable the self-concept,the more likely an individual was to join a highly stable group.In addition,this article through to central Asia in the islamic Renaissance,orthodox,flat,Christian rapid development for the analysis of the characteristics of religious basic pattern,as well as more than religious revival backed by external forces to central Asia and the assurance of the characteristics of the religious conflicts intensified,combined with the main safety problems and the influence of religious factors in central Asia,Analyzed the current status of central Asia security governance,think that the current level in countries and regions in central Asia security governance mainly through strict religious restrictions and religious extremism,assault and made certain achievements,but there is still a dialogue and communication between the religion and religious sect relations coordination,to ignore individual psychological influence of religion.
