| Since Moon Jae-in came to power,the Moon Jae-in government has been committed to promoting peace and prosperity on the peninsula.With the high-frequency interaction between the heads of South Korea and North Korea,relations between South Korea and North Korea have continued to pick up,and the tension on the peninsula has eased day by day.However,the issue of the denuclearization of the peninsula has always restricted the peace process on the peninsula.To resolve the issue of denuclearization of the peninsula,the implementation of the Korean nuclear policy of the Moon Jae-in administration will go through a tortuous process.This article is mainly divided into three chapters.The first chapter is the formation process of the Moon Jae-in government’s North Korea nuclear policy.It summarizes its characteristics from the proposal and formation process of the Moon Jae-in government’s North Korea nuclear policy.They are the improvement of North-South relations and the realization of North Korea’s denuclearization.The pre-payment model of separation of politics and economy promotes the denuclearization of the peninsula on the basis of strengthening national defense.At the same time,the denuclearization mediation between the Moon Jae-in government and the United States and North Korea reflects the efforts made by the Moon Jae-in government on the two direct parties to the North Korean nuclear issue,the United States and North Korea.The second chapter is the analysis of the predicament of the Moon Jae-in government’s North Korean nuclear policy,mainly the practical problems faced by the Korea-U.S.alliance,double sanctions against the DPRK by the United Nations and the United States,restrictions on the Korean president’s term,opposition to the opposition parties in the DPRK,and the distribution of anti-DPRK leaflets by South Korean non-governmental organizations.If Moon Jae-in cannot resolve these pressures during his tenure,the denuclearization policy will end in failure.The third chapter is the direction of the Moon Jae-in government’s nuclear policy,that is,the outlook for the future.Moon Jae-in’s term of office has come to an end,and the Biden administration has just come to power,constantly improving its policy toward North Korea and strengthening the South Korean-US alliance.The Democratic Party’s victory in Korea’s domestic elections further consolidated the ruling party’s position.At the international level,the relationship between the United States and North Korea has regressed,and the succession policy is unclear.The United States has shown good to South Korea and strengthened the US-South Korea alliance.Institutionalized legislation has cracked down on the dissemination of anti-North Korean leaflets by non-governmental organizations,and the situation on the peninsula still has room for change. |
