The report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China stated that it is necessary to strengthen and improve ideological and political work.Community is the foundation of society,the link and bridge between the party and the government to connect with the masses,the area where ideological and social problems of the masses are most concentrated and contradictions are most easily exposed,and the forefront of ideological and political education.Doing a good job in community ideological and political education is an important cornerstone of our party’s long-term governance.As a new community form in the process of urbanization,transitional community cannot be constructed and managed without ideological and political education.And as a new thing,the complexity and particularity of transitional community make the smooth development of ideological and political education extremely challenging.So how to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education in the new situation is a new topic that needs our in-depth discussion.The construction and development of transitional communities needs the support of ideological and political education.This requires us to base on relevant researches at home and abroad,on the basis of combing the concepts and connotations of community,transitional community and community ideological and political education,clarify the particularity and complexity,subject and object,goal and function of transitional community ideological and political education.Facing the complex characteristics of transitional community,we must adhere to the combination of theory and practice,and take root in the grass-roots level to explore the actual situation of ideological and political education.Through the empirical study of the three transitional communities F,J,and H in M Street,Jiangning District,Nanjing,it was found that the effect of ideological and political education in the transitional community is beginning to show,but there are still some problems,such as the lack of initiative of residents to accept ideological and political education,the dull content of ideological and political education,the single method,the lack of professional working team,the low rate of resource development and utilization,and the marginalization of ideological and political education.Further analysis the reasons for the problems,it mainly lies in the complexity of community personnel,the emphasis of community development on economy rather than thought,the lack of management and operation mechanism,the lack of social capital and insufficient attention by the community.Therefore,the transitional community should first take the party construction as the guide,construct the ideological and political education network,and rely on the transitional community’s new era civilization practice center station and grid work to promote the in-depth development of ideological and political education;Secondly,we should improve the trust mechanism of the community,form a good relationship between cadres and the masses,and a harmonious neighborhood atmosphere,build a new "acquaintances network",and increase the residents’ recognition of the community.Thirdly,we should constantly enrich the content of ideological and political education,innovate the carrier,carry out various forms of ideological and political education activities on different platforms and through different channels,so as to enhance the participation of residents.Finally,we should improve the relevant mechanism to ensure the orderly development of ideological and political education.We need to co-management in multiple aspects,joint participation of multiple subjects,integration and deployment of various resources,and coordinated participation of various forces to jointly promote the effectiveness of ideological and political education in transitional communities.
