"Seventh Normal School Of Zhili" And The Development Of The Southern Zhili’s Communist Party(1923-1937)

Zhili Provincial Seventh Normal School is a secondary normal school founded in1923 by advanced intellectuals led by Xie Taichen to improve the backward education situation in the Southern Zhili.Influenced by the new cultural movement and the spread of Marxism,the school held high the banner of science and democracy for anti imperialism and anti feudalism,and promoted the educational revolution,practice Xie taichen’s educational idea of "learning by doing" at the beginning of its establishment.It provides a guarantee for the advanced nature of the school and also makes the conditions for the establishment of the Southern Zhili’s Party Organization is gradually mature.After the establishment of the Party Organization in 1926,then it became one of the revolutionary movement centers in Southern Zhili.A large number of Party talents have been trained,strengthened the organization strength of the Southern Zhili Party Organization,set off a new upsurge in the development of the Southern Zhili revolution.While developing strength,teachers and students of the "seventh Normal School of Zhili" are also actively leading the revolutionary struggle activities in Southern Zhili.Before the outbreak of the all-round Anti Japanese War,there were mainly two stages of struggle: The struggle against warlords or landlord class and the Kuomintang reactionaries.Especially in the first phase of the struggle,it has formed the struggle characteristics of combining "legal" and "illegal" which are different from the national revolutionary situation.It created a positive environment for Southern Zhili to preserve and develop the Party’s power after the failure of the revolution.Even in the subsequent struggle,it was affected by the wrong line and the encirclement and suppression of various reactionary forces,the school’s revolutionary activities were once frustrated,but their revolutionary fighting spirit was consistent.The "seventh Normal School of Zhili" is like an "underground Party School" in white terror,it has given great support to the development of Party Organizations and revolutionary struggle activities in Southern Zhili.The school is also known as "an important source of revolution" because of its key and core role in the development history of the Communist Party of Southern Zhili.Wrote a glorious page in the history of Southern Zhilirevolution.
