Research On Government Response To Network Public Events

The frequent network public events in the transitional period have brought forward the demands to the government’s response ability.And the capacity-building of the government’s response is not only an important way to establish a good image of the government,but also an essential requirement and responsibility for the government to fulfill the public service supply function.More importantly,the construction of government response not only helps to improve the rationality of public policy,but also reflects the development trend of China’s democratic politics.In recent years,public incidents such as the Chongqing bus falling into a river,the Deyang swimming pool conflict that led to the suicide of a female doctor,and the longevity vaccine incident have occurred frequently,from these public events,we can see a common problem: the Public Expression in cyberspace,the trend of public opinion after the public event,the lack of government response and the final result of the event are necessarily related.Whether the relevant government departments can effectively respond to the people’s demands and clarify the truth,to a large extent,affects the trend and outcome of the incident.Obviously,it is not only the inherent demand of the responsible government,but also the inevitable demand of strengthening the government’s governance capability to gradually change the traditional government administrative management mode,establish an effective government response mechanism,and enhance the government response capability,is An important part of the current government reform.Based on the attention to the problem of government response to network public events,this paper takes the theoretical connotation and evaluation dimension of government response as the starting point,and takes the new public management theory,the theory of responsible government,governance and good governance as the theoretical basis,by using the methods of literature analysis,Comparative Analysis,investigation and the combination of normative analysis and empirical analysis,this paper makes an objective study on the current situation,existing problems and causes of government response to network public events,it also puts forward the corresponding countermeasures on how to improve the government’s response ability to the network public events.The research shows that at present,the government response to public events on the Internet has made some achievements,such as the government response awareness has been improved,but there are still some problems such as the lack of responsibility consciousness,slow action and lagging technical means of response;In view of these problems,this paper puts forward some countermeasures from the following aspects:reshaping the relationship between government and social citizens,optimizing the political ecology of responsible government;Strengthen the responsibility of public governance,and make the right and power in public events return;To guide the establishment of administrative value ethics and cultivate public interest and administrative personality;We should use modern technology to improve the electronic government response platform.
