China is in the process of comprehensive deepening reform, and the rapid expansion of various expressions of interest has become a common phenomenon. More and more network hot events show that the network has become a convenient and effective means to convey public opinion, to protect their interests, and to castigate corruption as well as a new channel of communication between government and citizens. The government’s response as the main form of response, is a hot topic in current science of public administration.This paper attempts to present some typical Contemporary China network hot events as an entry point for research. Combined with the government’s response theory, this paper carries out some explorations on the government’s response field under the background of the current net work hot events so as to provide targeted material for educational circle as well as some references for the government. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this paper includes four parts. The first part is about the definitions of relevant theories and theoretical interpretations, which include network hot events, public opinion and definition of government’s response, public opinion and logic associated analysis of government’s response, and relevant theory description. The second part is about the achievements and problems of Chinese government’s response, about the reason analysis of adverse conditions confronted by our government under the background of network hot events. The third part is about the overseas experiences references. The forth part is about specific path choices so as to optimize Chinese government’s response under the background of network hot events.
