The relationship between technology and personal information is complicated.Internet users access efficient internet service and in return they need to give internet service provider the authority of using their personal information.As a result of lacking effective legislation for preventing personal information infringement from happening,internet users are more and more worried about the safety of their personal information.Internet service provider would calculate the possible liabilities of infringements and the benefits it may gain by those unlawful behaviors.Users are facing the challenges including collecting personal information beyond reasonable purpose,selling personal information without consent,and the identity theft and fraud following date breach.However,most victims are unwilful to fill a lawsuit because the heave burden of proof and the little amount of compensation.In the following part,I will discuss the damages they should pay for,and whether uses can sue for compensation even if there is no actual damage.
