Study On The Interaction Of Funeral Ritual In Qinglin Village In Guizhou Province

Ritual is one of the most common social and cultural phenomena in human society.There is no doubt that funeral rites play a very important role in society,so the study of funeral rites has always been the key research field of ethnology.Death is the end of human life.As the transition of an individual from one world to another,funeral ceremony has important practical significance for both the deceased and the living.The geography of Qinglin Village is highly integrated with the blood relationship.In the stable social structure,the social development and the way of social interaction also tend to be stable.Funeral ceremony in its survival and social development of the society as a whole plays an extremely important role in cultural system,in the funeral ceremony of the situation,people become different from usual patterns of behavior,social interaction and changes,through interaction,the formation of particular social psychological relationship,and continue through interaction and make the relationship between development and stability.This paper attempts to describe the funeral ceremony process in Qinglin Village,analyze how the whole ceremony and part of it produce meaning,and analyze the crowd interaction behind the ceremony through the ceremony performance.This paper first describes the living environment of the funeral ceremony,introduces the natural and cultural environment of Qinglin Village,and explains the ethnic background.At the same time,it introduces the ethnic living customs,festival customs,sacrificial customs and folk beliefs.The second chapter describes the three stages of the funeral ceremony,namely,the vigil,the funeral announcement,the coffin and the setting of the funeral hall;The ceremony of the middle of the night,save the suffering,open hall;At the end of the ceremony,they went up the mountain,cleaned the house,buried and mourned.The funeral ceremony starts from the vigil and ends after three years of mourning.Through a complete description of the ceremony process,the ritual situation is restored.The third chapter,starting from the three stages of the state change of the dead in the funeral ceremony,"separation,transition and convergence",elaborates the interaction between the living and the dead in the three stages respectively,and analyzes the motive force and the result of the interaction between the living and the dead by applying Collins’ s interactive ritual theory.The fourth chapter analyze the funeral ceremony behind the crowd interaction,to relatives and friends of three groups of villagers,countryside,funeral ceremony affected by moral,collective idea,rules,change the behaviour of the villagers,social interaction way also changed,interactive results show the identity of a group of people get promoted,Interpersonal relationships are reviewed and consolidated through interaction.Finally,it explains the results brought by the interaction in the funeral ceremony.In the interaction between the living and the dead,the concept of spirit is maintained,strengthened and continued.The interaction between the living breaks down the boundaries between various groups,and the society is integrated into a unified whole.The social network centered on the deceased changes and is reorganized in the funeral ceremony.
