A Study On Strengthening The Military Relations Between The United States And Taiwan During The Trump Administration

The United States has long interfered in Taiwan as an important means of its plan to deter and contain China"s development.At present,with the increasing strategic competition between China and the United States,the trump administration attaches more and more importance to the important role of "Taiwan card" in curbing China’s peaceful rise.Driven by a variety of factors,the Trump administration has taken measures such as introducing policies and regulations in support of Taiwan,strengthening the military presence in the Taiwan Strait,easing restrictions on arms sales to Taiwan,and promoting military exchanges and interactions with Taiwan.All these measures has indicated systematic,flexbile and limited features during the dynamic process of military interactions between US and Chinese Taiwan.In the context of the stable trend of China and US strategic competition and the rising strength of China"s maninland,the Trump administration will continue to strengthen US-Taiwan military relations and adopt more flexible means to coordinate its policy implementation,in a bid to achieve the goal of competing with China.All these shifts will exert a series of negative effects on China.In this regard,we should firmly uphold the One China policy and resolutely carry out targeted counter-measures by adopting various means to hinder the escalation of military interactions between the United States and Chinese Taiwan.Therefore,the PLA should pay special attention to the possible war which may outbreak under the condition of the strong intervention of United States in the Taiwan Strait in the future.Meanwhile,the PLA should also accelerate the development of anti-intervention weapons and equipments,and enhance joint operational capability among theatres in the new era.In the end,based on the above-mentioned preparation,the PLA will proactively adapt to and take a lead in a new round of global military revolution,so as to to ensure the final complete reunification of China through wining the future war.
