| The withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA is an interest game process involving a wide range of major foreign policy options and multi-party strategic interaction that affects the strategic landscape of the Middle East and touches the strategic interests of various countries.On July 14,2015,Iran signed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action(JCPOA)with the United States,Britain,France,Russia,China and Germany.On May 8,2018,U.S.president Donald Trump officially announced that the United States had withdrawn from the JCPOA,imposed sanctions on Iran,and will continuously increase sanctions.As a result,the future of the JCPOA remained uncertain,and the Iranian nuclear issue entered a new stage of development.The first chapter is an introduction of this paper.The second chapter of the paper describes the process of the Iranian nuclear issue,the signing of the JCPOA and its development and changes.The third chapter analyzes the reasons why the Trump administration decided to withdraw from the JCPOA from three aspects.On this basis,the fourth chapter analyzes the major impacts that the withdrawal of the Trump administration from the JCPOA may have on the U.S.and Iran,the regions and countries concerned with the Iranian nuclear issue,and the international community.The fifth chapter is composed of three parts.First,it explores the three characteristics of the Trump administration’s foreign policy reflected in its withdrawal from the JCPOA: the strategic orientation of "America First",the path selection of "Unilateralism" and the strategic use of "Calculation".Secondly,the chapter initially analyzes and discusses the most challenging issues,the future of the JCPOA and the predictive analysis of the Iranian nuclear issue.The paper focuses on two perspectives:the trend of U.S.-Iranian bilateral relations and the future of the JCPOA.Finally,this paper believes that the conflict between the U.S.and Iran is difficult to reconcile,and the game between the two sides will continue in the short term.The positions,attitudes and policies of the parties involved in the Iranian nuclear issue will have different follow-up effects on the existence and abolition of the JCPOA.Finally,on the basis of the above-mentioned relevant analysis,the paper put preliminary thoughts on the countermeasures China should take after the Trump administration withdraws from the JCPOA. |
