Abstract/Summary:
At present,China’s rural-urban population flow has entered a new stage and shown new characteristics.Great changes have taken place in the internal structure of rural-urban floating population groups, and new intergenerational stratification has emerged. This paper studies the intergenerational differences of the social integration of rural-urban floating population and its influencing factors,so as to determine more targeted policy recommendations to promote the social integration of rural-urban floating population. The specific research contents and conclusions are as follows:Firstly,on the basis of defining the three core concepts of rural-urban floating population, intergenerational difference and social integration, this paper makes a detailed review of the existing research at home and abroad from three aspects: the theoretical basis of social integration, the measurement of the degree of social integration of rural-urban floating population and the influencing factors.Secondly, based on the data of 2017 national dynamic monitoring and survey of floating population, the paper uses factor analysis method to construct four measurement dimensions of psychology, economy, culture and society, including 12 secondary indicators,to analyze the intergenerational differences of the social integration of rural and urban floating population.Thirdly,it constructs multiple linear regression model to analyze the influence of intergenerational factors on the social integration of rural-urban floating population, and whether there are intergenerational differences in the influence of basic demographic characteristics, economic factors, social system and other factors on the social integration of rural-urban floating population. The results show that: the total social integration degree of the new generation rural-urban floating population is the highest, followed by the Mesozoic rural-urban floating population, and the total social integration degree of the old generation rural-urban floating population is the lowest.Among the influencing factors of social integration, gender, scope of mobility,self-purchase,communication with local people, residence permit, willingness to settle down and discrimination against local people all have significant effects on social integration of the three generations of rural-urban migrants;while government public rental housing, communication with other outsiders and changes in job-hunting difficulty only have significant effects on social integration of the new generation of rural-urban migrants The degree of Bachelor degree or above has a significant impact on the social integration of rural-urban floating population in Mesozoic.According to the above research results, this paper believes that we should formulate specific policies and measures from three aspects: increasing human capital investment, improving the social security system, and reconstructing the social network,so as to better promote the social integration of rural-urban floating population.
