Social Organizations’ Work In Juvenile Delinquency Resettlement And Assistance In Zhejiang Province

The healthy growth and long-term development of minors is the future of the country and the hope of the nation.The development of juvenile justice is related to the construction of the law-based governance and the law-based society.The participation of social organizations is newly-rising human resources and innovation power to the field of juvenile delinquency resettlement and assistance.The inexperience of the social organizations in this field and the absence of laws and regulations are brakes in developing.However,the social organizations have their own characteristics such as neutrality,flexible treatment,diversified assistance,which are not only fitted with the psychological traits of teenagers,but are also suited to the principle of juvenile justice and“reconciliation and reconstruction” in restorative justice.So,the development of social organization’s work in juvenile delinquency resettlement and assistance is anticipated and worth doing further research.This thesis starts from the basic theory of restorative justice as “eliminating discrimination,healing trauma,protecting rights,returning to harmony”.It selects several social organizations in Ningbo and Wenzhou in Zhejiang province as examples,and dissects the working modes and features of social organization and the cooperative mode between social organizations and government in community correction,restorative reformation and social probation.It focus on the empirical research of social organizations’ participation in juvenile delinquency resettlement and assistance in Zhejiang province and derives the problems and the causes.On the basis of the restorative justice theory and the practice in Zhejiang province,the thesis puts forward a conception of social organization’s participation in juvenile justice,which explores social organization’s continuous improvement from professional resource sharing,classification and big data assistance.On the reasoning,this thesis uses case studies,comparative method and empirical research on the issue of social organization’s work in juvenile delinquency resettlement and assistance in Zhejiang province.Hoping this paper can explores a better pattern of participation and advances some proposals on Chinese juvenile justice system.
