Analysis On Chinese Women’s Table Tennis Player Liu Shiwen’s Techniques And Tactics From 2015 To 2019

In order to study the developing trend of domestic female player Liu Shiwen,this paper employed the method of literature review,video observation,statistics analysis and logic analysis to study technique&tactic performance of Chinese elite female table tennis player Liu Shiwen through her 8 high level competition matches each year from 2015 to 2019.To study Liu’s competitive status’s change from low ebb period to bounds back period during 2015 to 2019 through major performance of technique analysis,this study chose Liu’s matches in which she played against foreign and domestic elite female players and made analysis from the perspective of service rallies’and receive rallies’points won and lost to find Liu’s advantages and disadvantages so that to provide suggestions for keeping advantageous techniques and tactic performance.Liu’s underwent a period of low ebb from 2017 to 2018 and rebounded back from 2019.The major conclusions were as follows:（1）For comparative analysis between service rallies and receive rallies,from2015-2019,Liu performed better in service rallies than receive rallies,and receiving was Liu’s weak point which affected her performance in receive rallies.Take the world ranking and total points won&lost into consideration,Liu had good competitive status from 2015 to 2016;underwent a period of low ebb due to injuries and various kinds of reasons from 2017-2018;and having won a world title championship in 2019 represented the bound back of Liu.（2）For service rallies,Liu’s service style changed from a major use of side-topspin,side-backspin to many services with hook non-spin&spin services.During the bound back period,hook services to opponents’forehand near net area had good stability,reducing control on the 3^rdstrike,guaranteeing the quality of forehand loop against back spin,improved spin on backhand loop against backspin,creating direct powerful attack.For stalemate rallies,Liu’s backhand techniques could make adjustment according to the opponents’returns and the ability to compete during stalemate phase was enhanced.（3）For receive rallies,from 2015-2019,Liu mainly used drop and push to receive,and her twist backhand loop gradually become proficient.During the bound back period,Liu’s diversified her receiving techniques,got good effect from receiving by straight line twist backhand loop which helped her scoring and reduced passiveness in receiving strike.Liu also improved control level of receiving,which leads to less attacking from the opponent.For transition between 2^ndand 4^thstrike,Liu’s 4^thstrike using forehand counterattack was subjected to the effect from the 2^ndstrike,which leads to high possibility of losing points.
