A Study Of The Foul Characteristics In The 2019 France Women’s World Cup Finals

With the continuous development of football and the continuous improvement of football players’ competitive ability,the intensity of confrontation between athletes is also increasing gradually.In fierce football competition,the fighting between athletes and the physical impact will also more intense.So fouls are inevitable.At this time,the referee needs to make a correct judgment on the situation of the game and lead the game to a smooth way.This thesis provides some references and suggestions for the referees in our country through statistical research on the 2019 French Women’s World Cup finals.This thesis takes the 52 games of the 2019 French Women’s World Cup finals as the research object,and uses scientific research methods such as bibliographic method,expert interview method,video observation method,mathematical statistics method and logic analysis method,etc.After the research the author found that:1.The analysis of the quantity of fouls:Comparing with teams in Central and North America and teams in Oceania,teams in Africa and South America always make more fouls;when the strength of the teams is similar,the match is more intense and they possibly make more fouls.And weak teams are more prone to fouls than strong teams.2.The analysis from the time period of fouls: 75-90 minutes in the game is the most probable period,and South American,African and Asian teams are more prone to fouls than other continents at this time;African teams are more prone to fouls than other continents in 1-15 minutes.Asia,however,has fewer fouls during this period because it takes more time to them to enter the situation.3.The analysis of the field to make fouls: Midfield is the field with the most fouls in the game,and competition in the midfield 3 is the most intense;South American and African teams are different from European and Asian teams in the back left area,and south American and African teams are more prone to fouls in this area;When there is a large gap between the teams,weak teams will make more fouls in the backcourt,and strong teams will make more fouls in the former central zone4.The analysis from the causes of fouls: With the development of modern football,the characteristics of fouls have gradually changed from fouls based on lower limbs to fouls based on upper limbs,so that it is more hidden in the game;Teams in Asia and South America make more fouls in pulling more than other continents,while teams in Africa,Central and North America are mainly collision fouls;It will not change due to the strength of the teams that the character of fouls made by players who have developed for a very long time.5.The analysis of yellow cards: Yellow card always appears in the second half of the game.And the probability of a yellow card in 75-90 minutes is the highest.The main field where yellow cards appear is midfield,and defenders are more vulnerable to yellow card warnings;African players are more vulnerable to yellow card warnings because of there more obvious physical movements in fouls;Weaker teams are more likely to get yellow card warnings;There are few red cards in women’s World Cup.
