A Comparative Study On The Competition System Men’s Basketball Youth Between Croatian And China

Croatia has inherited and carried forward Yugoslavia’s excellent basketball tradition.As a European country with a small area and a small population,although its overall national strength is not as good as China’s,it does have strong basketball strength and has become one of the fastest growing basketball countries in Europe.The Croatian domestic youth league is divided into hierarchical leagues of different ages.Under this system,a large number of outstanding basketball players are trained and 17 outstanding players are sent to the NBA.However,China’s research on the Croatian Youth Basketball League is still blank.Compared with the continuous development of basketball,how to improve the youth basketball competition system in China has become a question worth pondering.The author took advantage of the one-year study and exchange in Croatia,with the help of the teachers of the Croatian Sports Human Academy and the officials of the Croatian Basketball Association,combined with field practice with local representative clubs,and felt the strong local sports and cultural atmosphere.The youth basketball competition system has been thoroughly explored and analyzed,and contrasted with China,with a view to making some contributions to the development of basketball in China.This article takes the Chinese and Croatian men’s basketball competition system as the research object,and uses the literature method,field investigation method,and expert interview method and mathematical statistics method to study the Chinese and Croatian men’s basketball competition system.The results are as follows:1.The former Yugoslavia has left Croatia with a strong basketball foundation.The good sports and cultural environment and the unique geographical location make Croatian men’s and young men’s basketball exchange with neighboring countries a lot,providing players with a lot of opportunities for international competition exchanges.The flexible education system guarantees the training and competition of Croatian basketball youth.2.The division and grading system of the Croatian Men’s Youth Basketball League is an important factor for the good development of basketball.The league is divided into three leagues and four leagues according to age group.The division of the league is detailed and clear,which not only makes the league orderly,but also optimizes the league organization form and talent transportation to a certain extent.3.The development of Chinese youth basketball is affected by the regional economy and the development of the eastern and western regions is uneven.Professional league youth team teams are disconnected from the sports department schools and the education department schools.There is a gap in the cultural quality and professional skills of the players trained by the youth team,as well as the sports school team and the education department team.4.Compared with China,Croatia’s youth basketball sports culture has a strong heritage.Youth regions in various regions have a better development situation,with more teams participating.At the same time that Croatia’s population base is small,the club has established a cooperative model with local primary and secondary schools,and youth basketball participation is higher.5.The Croatian double-loop home and away game system,while better promoting basketball,has effectively reduced the risk of injury due to the game system’s short-term high-intensity participation.The relegation system has mobilized players’ enthusiasm to a certain extent and enhanced the competitiveness of the league.
