| No matter it is the macroscopic educational cause reform,the development,or the microscopic school organization operation,the reform,the primary and secondary school principal all plays the irreplaceable important role.The position of the principal,especially the outstanding one,as an important educational resource is becoming more and more prominent."Professionalization" and "educationalist running a school" are the requirements of the new era for principals in the reform of teacher team construction,and the strategies and goals of improving principals’ quality.This new situation and new requirements will inevitably bring changes to the role positioning of the principal,and these changes must be traceable in the policy text.This paper takes the policy text as the starting point to study the evolution of the role orientation of primary and secondary school principals.The purpose is to show the evolution of the role of principals and to reveal how the social environment influences the role of principals.At the same time,it reflects on this process from the perspective of theory and practice,and explores the characteristics of the evolution of role positioning and the decisive factors of role positioning.Suggestions are given on how to rationally position the principal’s role in the policy text.The research mainly adopts discourse analysis method,using Norman Fairclough’s three-dimensional discourse analysis framework,and follows the route from social context analysis to text analysis,and then to discourse practice analysis.It is found that since the reform and opening up,the role of principals in the policy text has changed from a red and specialized educational administrative cadre to a manager who implements quality-oriented education and finally to an education-oriented educator.The value orientation of the principal’s role orientation from the attention to his own macro role to the ability of the principal to perform his duties,and then to the focus on the healthy growth of students,showing the characteristics of a downward shift in the center of gravity.Centering on the role positioning of "adapting to the educational situation and completing the educational tasks",there will be corresponding changes."keeping pace with The Times" will be constantly developed and enriched.Specific educational situation and tasks are the decisive factors for the role positioning of principals.The Suggestions for the rational positioning of the role of principals in the future policy texts are as follows:the role of principals should be changed from problem solver to appreciative leader;We should find out the position of the principal’s role in the game between the expected role and the actual role;It is necessary to straighten out the social relations of the principal and describe the role more clearly and concretely. |
