| The paper systematically demonstrates the serving nature of the role of the principal in pedagogy, management, sociology perspective. By multi-dimensional comparison, the serving nature of the role of the principal has been studied as the following: compared with the teacher, the serving role of the president is more indirect and all-round; with the higher educational administrators, the principal are the agency and have more practically culturing role need; with in-school administrators, the serving role of the principal is all-round and more challenging; with the managers of the enterprises, the principal play more culturing role. Additionally, the serving role of the principal can be categorized by different standards: functional serving and psychological serving, pay-off serving and for-free serving, deep serving and shallow serving, common serving and special serving. According to the survey, the principal have sensed the serving role, but in practice, have to improve themselves. The case studies on the three principal present the process, way and pass of the specific implement of the serving role. And the four key competences of the serving role have been concluded: the administration competency, the creation competency, the management competency and education competency. Then, based on the exploration of both the theory and practice, the article gives some ideas about the serving of the principal's role and suggests for the implement of it and the problems have been put forward for exploration. |
