Anxiety is one of the most common negative emotions in adolescents.It refers to an emotional state of nervousness and fear when an individual thinks he or she is in a potentially dangerous environment.Persistent and excessive anxiety will lead to anxiety disorder,cause social maladjustment,which will seriously affect the individual’s life,study and work performance.Studies have shown that anxiety affects about 30% of middle school students in different degrees.The effects of anxiety on high school students are not limited to the present and are more likely to lead to a host of problems in adulthood,such as anxiety,depression,self-injurious behavior,and poor family relationships and career development.The physical and mental health of adolescents is not only influenced by their own characteristics,but also influenced by environmental factors.Parental psychological control is such an environmental factor that cannot be ignored.Studies have shown that parental psychological control is associated with a variety of negative developmental outcomes in adolescents,such as low self-esteem,anxiety,depression,behavioral withdrawal,and problem behavior.High school students are in the early stage of adolescence,emotional experience and psychological conflicts,emotional problems are prone to occur.The adolescent yearns for "adult-like" independence and autonomy,for freedom from parental control and for questioning authority.The aggressive strategies adopted by parents with high psychological control are contrary to the inner demands of teenagers.This will intensify the conflict between parents and children,cause the children’s negative emotions,and cause a greater negative impact on the development of teenagers.High school students are in the early stage of adolescence,emotional experience and psychological conflicts,is an important period of individual growth and development,it is necessary to carry out targeted research.Parenting is one of the important influence factors of adolescent mental health development,combing the individual cognitive factors in his parents’ psychological control and the role of anxiety relationship mechanism,combining the family factors and individual factors,contribute to the formation mechanism of individual cognition anxiety from various angles,adolescent anxiety to provide the reference for the prevention and intervention,at the same time,it can provide advice for teenagers to deal with anxiety,help them to better learning and life.Based on this,this study investigated the influence of parental rearing style and cognitive emotion regulation strategy on the anxiety level of high school students by conducting a questionnaire survey on high school students,stimulating the recall of their parents’ psychological control over them and their cognitive emotion regulation strategy in the face of negative events.This study used the psychological control subscale,anxiety self-rating scale and cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire in the Chinese version of parental control questionnaire to measure 524 high school students.The results are as follows:(1)On the whole,the anxiety level of high school students is medium and low,which is close to the boundary value;A standard score of 199 people reached the anxiety level,accounting for 38%.Of these,121 were mildly anxious,or 23.1 percent;There were 56 people with moderate anxiety,accounting for 10.7%;There were 22 people with severe anxiety,accounting for 4.2% of the total.More than a third of high school students are anxious,a high proportion.(2)The anxiety level of boys is significantly lower than that of girls;the anxiety level of students in grade one is significantly lower than that of students in grade two.The anxiety level of the Zhuang ethnic group and other minority high school students is significantly higher than that of the Han ethnic group;There is no significant difference between the one-child policy and the urban-rural policy.(3)The correlation analysis between parental psychological control,cognitive emotion regulation strategy and anxiety in high school students shows that there is a significant positive correlation between parental psychological control,disaster-oriented strategy and anxiety,but there is no significant correlation between parental psychological control and positive reevaluation strategy.(4)The regression analysis of parental psychological control and cognitive emotional regulation strategies of high school students on anxiety level shows that the disaster and positive re-evaluation dimensions of parental psychological control and cognitive emotional regulation strategies of high school students have significant predictive effects on their anxiety level.(5)Cognitive emotion regulation strategy plays a part in mediating the influence of parental psychological control on the anxiety level of high school students.Specifically,catastrophic strategy plays a part in mediating the influence of parental psychological control on the anxiety level of high school students.Conclusion: the general level of high school students’ anxiety is close to 50,which is not optimistic.Cognitive emotion regulation strategy plays a part in mediating the influence of parental psychological control on anxiety level of high school students.
