Since the 1980 s and 1990 s,western civil society theory has gradually heated up and spread worldwide.Besides,the reform and opening-up also provided convenience for its diffusion in China.With the introduction of the theory,some Chinese scholars began to accept and publicize it,advocating building a Chinese civil society following the western model and developing Chinese democracy in accordance with western constitutional one,which formed the "civil society" thought.In the new era,China is still struggling with various ideologies fiercely.Contemporary college students are the builder and successors to the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics,who catch the “Chinese dream” to bring about the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and will finally realize it.At the same time,many new characteristics can be seen on them.Therefore,all these particularities have made college students a key target for the penetration of "civil society" thoughts.The paper is divided into three parts.The first part is the theoretical explanation of the "civil society" thought,as the basis of the whole research.At the beginning,it interprets the "civil society" thought and its related concepts,clarifies the definition of "civil society" in different contexts.Secondly,on the basis of a defined concept,it analyzes and summarizes the main theoretical propositions of the "civil society" thought in the political,economic,cultural,and social fields.Finally,through the analysis and the criticism of its theoretical perspectives,to clarify the essence of "civil society" thought.The second part is on the investigation and analysis of the impact made by “civil society” thought on contemporary college students.It takes an empirical study in more than ten domestic universities including the Southwest University,Chongqing University and Xihua Normal University.The research focuses on how is the college students influenced by “civil society” thought,mainly including how much do they know or agree with the thought.The result finds that.they have a low awareness but a relatively high acceptance of it.Based on this,further research will focus on the harm of its spread among college students and its specific reasons.Based on the survey and analysis results in the second part,the third part discusses the countermeasures to reduce the actual harm of "civil society" thought to college students.,including: improving the ideological understanding of the thought and its harms;deepening the theoretical research on the thought;strengthening the practical guidance of the thought,and giving play to the role of college students in resisting the thought.The goal is to effectively resist the spread of the "civil society" thought in colleges and universities and to reduce the harm of it to contemporary college students,which is also the significance of the paper.
