Abstract/Summary:
Since the establishment of the first batch of Degree authorization center in 2010,the Master of Publishing in China will go through the first decade.By 2020,a total of 28 colleges in China had set up master’s degrees in publishing,including Beijing institute of printing,Nanjing University,Fudan University,Wuhan University,Huazhong University of Science and Technology,East China Normal University,Yunnan Minzu University and Guangdong University of Finance and Economics.Since the establishment of Master of Publishing,the scale of Master of Publishing has been continuously expanded and the quality of talent training has been continuously improved,which has cultivated a large number of excellent talents for the Publishing industry.However,there are still some problems.This paper makes a brief review of the development process and current situation of master’s degree in publishing in China,and analyzes the talent cultivation programs of various colleges from the aspects of training objectives,learning years,training methods,curriculum system setting,practice links,dissertations and faculty construction.In recent years,technologies such as VR,AR,MR,5G,Artificial Intelligence,Blockchain,Big data and Short live video streaming have powered the publishing industry.Under the influence of new technology,traditional publishing is transforming into digital publishing and integrated publishing,which is facing a series of changes in the industrial chain,product form,communication channel,operation management and copyright protection.This is an unprecedented opportunity and challenge given by the new era.Focusing on the industry demand and employment orientation,this paper makes an in-depth study of the employment data of Master of Publishing in the sample universities and the recruitment demand of the editorial and publishing talent market.On this basis,it is found that there are some problems in the training mode of Master of Publishing,such as the subject orientation is not clear,features are not obvious enough,the construction of teaching staff needs to be strengthened,talent supply and demand dislocation.This paper tries to put forward some thoughts on the reform of the training mode of Master of Publishing in China: Based on the background of The Times,keep abreast of the development of The Times;Strive for the orientation of publishing science and establish a publishing school;Take the industry demand as the guidance,adjust the talent training scheme;Optimize the structure of the faculty,strengthen the interaction between the academic community and the industry;Strengthen the exchange and interaction with foreign universities to establish joint training of talents.
