| With the rise of basketball in China,various basketball leagues in China are in full swing.The data in The White Paper of China’s Basketball Industry proves that basketball has become the largest sport in China.With the increase of the influence of basketball,more and more children participate in small basketball.The proposal of the "Little Basketball" plan in 2017 has accelerated the development of little basketball.The increasing number of basketball training institutions for children and teenagers and basketball coaches have given sufficient impetus to the development of little basketball.The "Little Basketball" program is aimed at children under 12 years old,starting with stimulating interest,changing the rules of adult basketball to fit the physical and mental development of children.The China Little Basketball League（MCBA）is an official competition held by the Chinese Basketball Association.The 2018-2019 China Little Basketball League（MCBA）has been held twice in a row,attracting nearly 300,000 children to participate in the league.MCBA League organizes grassroots competitions at all levels at the provincial level and selects teams to participate in regional summer camps.As the only province in central and western China with CBA and WCBA basketball clubs,Sichuan can play a representative role in the study on the effect of MCBA League on children’s basketball.According to the investigation and research,in the development of MCBA League competitions in Sichuan Province,there are few trainings for referees and coaches,unreasonable competition schedule,problems in the management and operation of contests held by departments below the provincial level,and insufficient influence of the league at the grass-roots level.In terms of the training and management of coaches and referees,the schedule of matches,the separation and reform of management and management below the provincial level,and the business cooperation between the league and other levels,there are still some deficiencies and gaps.In order to improve the development of MCBA League in Sichuan Province,the study of MCBA League in Sichuan Province will provide theoretical reference for the development of tournaments in other regions.In this paper,using the method of documentary,depth interview,field investigation and logical analysis,this study analyzed detailed combing,modern organization management theory,the polycentric governance theory as the theoretical basis,depth interview of the league managers,host and participants,the league management system and competition system and business promotion aspect analysis,the following conclusions:（1）There are few trainings for coaches and referees in MCBA League,and the training system is not perfect.Coaches lack unified coaching qualification certificates,referees have different penalty scales in competitions,and there is a lack of patient explanation for players’ fouls and violations,which fails to realize the purpose of MCBA League to understand the rules for young athletes and enjoy the competition.（2）The schedule of MCBA League is not reasonable enough.Below the provincial level competition schedule period is 2-3 months,the team after promotion to the next schedule after a long interval,but each division of the games are concentrated in a day or two,the games are intensive,the intensity is large.（3）There is a combination of management and operation in the MCBA League under the provincial level;The rights and responsibilities of both sides in the operation of the league are not clear;The league’s property rights temporarily belong to the Chinese Basketball Association.（4）The organizers of MCBA League below the provincial level have poor business promotion ability,lack of development of commercial value of the league,small local influence of the tournament,and insufficient marketization operation of the league. |
