| With the gradual decline of the demographic dividend,the supply of labor force in China has been decreasing,while labor costs have been rising.The "labor shortage" problem has expanded from the eastern coastal areas to the whole country,the way to solve the plight of labor shortage in the new era and new background is urgently needed.As a revolutionary technology with great economic and social benefits,the rise of artificial intelligence technology provides a great opportunity to solve the problem of labor shortage.Whether and how to use the development of artificial intelligence to solve the problem of labor shortage is the starting point of this paper.Dongguan,as a big manufacturing city in China,launched the "machine replacement" earlier to encourage enterprises to carry out intelligent transformation in order to alleviate the pressure of shortage of workers,which is representative in dealing with the shortage of workers,through the application of artificial intelligence to the problem of labor shortage of measures,effects and shortcomings of a comprehensive analysis,with a view to solve the problem of labor shortage to find a new way to choose.Firstly,this paper reviews the related research results of labor shortage and artificial intelligence,and analyzes the mechanism of artificial intelligence to deal with labor shortage based on relevant theories and characteristics of artificial intelligence technology.Then the paper analyzes the challenge of labor shortage in Dongguan and the measures taken to deal with it,and finds that Dongguan can effectively fill the labor gap and relieve the pressure of labor cost by promoting the application of intelligence,and help transform and upgrade the industry.But at the same time,Dongguan’s push for "machine replacement" has also created problems of crowding out of the low-end labor,compounding skill-mix mismatches and limited application.Then it analyzes the experience of building Society5.0 in Japan and promoting Industry 4.0 in Germany to provide reference for artificial intelligence to deal with labor shortage.Finally,based on the above findings and combined with the actual situation in China,the paper puts forward some suggestions on how to release the intelligent bonus to fill the gap of employment,improve the employment policy to deal with the employment shock,and construct the talent bonus to support the high-quality development,through the superposition effect of intelligence bonus and talent bonus,alleviate the plight of labor shortage,open a new window of opportunityfor high-quality economic development in the new era. |
