Research On Labor Supply In The Era Of Artificial Intelligence

The coming of the artificial intelligence era is the result of the high development of social productivity.Artificial intelligence has a profound impact on labor supply while promoting labor productivity.The improvement of capital organic composition brought by artificial intelligence is a "double-edged sword" for China’s labor supply,and its substitution effect and compensation effect on labor supply exist at the same time.On the one hand,the substitution effect of artificial intelligence for urban and rural labor forces makes the labor supply situation in China more and more severe.On the other hand,from a long-term perspective,the improvement of the organic composition of capital will lead to the emergence of new industries and new formats,thus continuously expanding productivity,creating new jobs to adapt to the development of science and technology,and relieving the pressure of labor supply.In this context,based on Marx’s theory of the organic composition of capital,this paper systematically studies and analyzes the opportunities and challenges faced by the labor supply in the artificial intelligence era,and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions.The main content of this paper consists of five parts:The first part defines the connotation of the artificial intelligence era and the labor supply problem in China.From the three dimensions of labor supply quantity,structure and quality,the labor supply problem in China is has divided into three aspects: the continuous decline of labor age population,the gradual disappearance of demographic dividend and the slow improvement of labor quality.The second part explains the basic point of Marx’s capital organic composition theory,puts forward that Marx’s capital organic composition theory is the theoretical guidance to solve the problem of labor supply in the artificial intelligence era,and analyzes the guiding significance of Marx’s capital organic composition theory to solve the problem of labor supply in the artificial intelligence era.The third part analyzes in detail the opportunities created by the wide application of artificial intelligence for labor supply.Through the expansion of the labor supply capacity,the alleviation of labor market aging crisis,and the improvement of labor supply quality,this paper expounds on the opportunities of labor supply in the era of artificial intelligence.The fourth part analyzes in detail the challenges of the wide application of artificial intelligence to labor supply.From the imbalance of labor supply structure and the imperfection of the labor training system,this paper expounds on the challenges of labor supply in the artificial intelligence era.The fifth part,under the guidance of Marx’s theory of the organic composition of capital,puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to optimize the supply of labor force in China: to improve the quality of labor force supply with the perspective of technological progress,to optimize the structure of labor force supply with the guidance of the improvement of the organic composition of capital,and to expand the quantity of effective labor force supply with the reference of the relative surplus population.
