Research On The Influence Of ASEAN Education Development On Economic Growth

In the context of ASEAN Free Trade Area,the economies of ASEAN member countries have been growing rapidly,and at the same time,the education of ASEAN has also been developed to a certain extent.However,few scholars have studied the relationship between ASEAN’s economic growth and ASEAN’s education development,and the impact of economic growth on ASEAN’s education development.This paper attempts to analyze the problems in this regard,in order to play a role in attracting jade.This paper uses literature,statistical analysis,normative analysis and panel data regression analysis to analyze the relationship between ASEAN economic growth and ASEAN education development.First of all,it analyzes the economic growth of education in ASEAN.Then,according to the contents of the education development index system of international organizations,it analyzes the development of education from the aspects of the supply and demand of education,the enrollment rate and the number of years of education,the internal efficiency and the effect.The analysis shows that ASEAN’s economy has been growing at a high speed in the period of2000-2017.During this period,the proportion of public education expenditure in GDP and primary school enrollment rate of ASEAN has declined,and the proportion of public education expenditure in government financial expenditure,number of teachers,secondary school enrollment rate and higher school enrollment rate,annual input per capita of primary school,secondary school and college students,and literacy rate have increased.In ASEAN countries,the rate of adult illiteracy and the rate of repetition in primary and secondary schools have continued to decline.Panel data regression analysis shows that the impact of ASEAN education development on economic growth is relatively weak,and ASEAN economic growth mainly depends on labor and capital investment.The impact of education development in high-speed growth countries on economic growth is relatively small.The indicators of education output in low-speed growth countries have a significant impact on economic growth.According to the research conclusion,this paper puts forward the policy suggestions of increasing educational investment,reasonably allocatin g educational resources,actively encouraging diversified education,and improving the educational efficiency of ASEAN countries through improving the internal exchange system of ASEAN.The purpose is to adapt to the law of international economic developme nt,improve the role of educational development in economic growth,and promote the development of ASEAN economy at a higher level.
