China’s Outstanding Male Taekwondo Athlete Huang Jiannan Analysis Of Technical And Tactical Characteristics

Competitive Taekwondo is a confrontational fighting project,which is mainly with legs,supplemented by boxing.The athlete’s body shape has an important influence on his performance.In the competition,leg technology is the main means of scoring for athletes,so height and leg length are important winning factors in competitive Taekwondo.Huang Jiannan is an excellent Taekwondo athlete in China.Although he only has a height of 179 cm,he has won the men ’s 80 kg championship at the 2014 Military World Games,the2016 Asian Taekwondo Championships,and the 13 th Tianjin National Games.His excellent and outstanding performances have broken the convention that China’s men’s major athletes with lower height cannot win.Combing bibliographic methods,expert interview,video observation methods,test methods,mathematical statistics method and logic analysis methods,the article observes and analyzes the video of Huang Jiannan’s 4 international and 17 domestic games to comprehend reasons for winning the games through the use of technologies and tactics.The findings are as follows:(1)In terms of technologies: Huang Jiannan’s three technologies with the highest usage and scoring rates in games are: horizontal kick,push kick,and undercut.Due to his shorter height,he is more concealed and faster when using these three techniques compared to the competitors.That are also the core factors for his win.(2)In terms of tactics: Huang Jiannan is an active offensive player.Thanks to its short height,its body and footwork can be moved more flexibly.The main tactic is active attack,combined with the use of continuous combination tactics.The overall feature is his strong ability to switch offense and defense and can randomly use a variety of different tactics in different conditions.(3)Abilities of capturing opportunity: Huang Jiannan can instantly capture the timing of leg out during the game.When the opportunity comes,he can accurately and reasonably judge and make correct technical and tactical responses.That is also the keys for him to achieve excellent results in the men’s major competitions without the advantage of height.It is hoped that research results will provide some suggestions for Huang Jiannan’s usage of skillsand tactics in future competitions,and also provide shorter athletes with method guidance and training ideas used in competitions.
