The rapid development of the global economy has led to complex changes in the economic and social structure,and this situation is accompanied by many difficulties,especially in the aspect of employment,which is regarded as an important livelihood issue in every country.However,entrepreneurship can bring huge benefits to the economy of every country and solve in some extent the employment problem,especially the employment problem of college students.Therefore,domestic and foreign governments are keen to promote entrepreneurship among their citizens and have adopted a number of initiatives and policies,of which entrepreneurship education occupies a prominent position.Compared with other entrepreneurial groups,college entrepreneurs have great differences in social contact surface and environment,so their entrepreneurial mentality and their own resource advantages are not the same,which leads to the inevitable result of their competency differences.In addition,The entrepreneurship education provided by colleges and universities is closely related to the entrepreneurial knowledge,inner potential and competence of college graduates,but entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities includes various forms,such as entrepreneurship courses,entrepreneurship competitions,entrepreneurship projects,entrepreneurship forums and so on.Therefore,it is worth exploring the influence of the participation type of entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities on the competency of college entrepreneurs.This paper divided the participation type of entrepreneurship education into entrepreneurship theory education and entrepreneurship practice education according to the nature of education,studying the competence of college student entrepreneurs under the training of different types of entrepreneurship education.Then,it revealed the contribution of different types of entrepreneurial education to the competency of college students.Based on the theory of competence iceberg model and implicit learning,this paper discusses the relationship between the participation type of entrepreneurship education and the college entrepreneurs competence.By means of questionnaire survey,the author collected 440 valid questionnaires from college students’ entrepreneurs in hunan province,northwest China and eastern China,and estimated their competency and scores in each dimension by using the independent weight method.Than,by applying the data into the hierarchical regression model,the following conclusions were obtained:First,in terms of entrepreneurship knowledge and motivation,entrepreneurship theory education has a greater impact on college students’ entrepreneurs than entrepreneurship practice education.Secondly,entrepreneurship practice education has a deeper impact on entrepreneurship skills,self-concept and personal characteristics than entrepreneurship theory education.Thirdly,the two types of participation in entrepreneurship education will have a significant positive impact on the competence of college entrepreneurs.In view of the above conclusions,colleges and universities should carry out comprehensive education on entrepreneurship theory,enhancing the entrepreneurship knowledge of students of various majors,stimulating their entrepreneurship motivation,and at the same time,promoting the cultivation of college students’entrepreneurship competency with entrepreneurship practice education.
