A Study Of Social Work Practice And Its Dilemma Under The Prevention And Control Of COVID-19

At present,China’s economy is developing rapidly and the quality of national life is rising year by year.However,some public health incidents are still inevitable,causing very serious impacts on the social harmony,economic operation and life safety of residents in China.Since the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008,social work has played a very obvious role in the service work of rescuing the needy groups,which has received attention from all sides.social work was able to actively respond to the Wenchuan earthquake and the Ludian earthquake,accumulating certain experience and gradually promoting the development of the profession.the outbreak of the new crown epidemic in December 2019 has had a great impact on the people’s life safety,property safety In particular,the various needs of different social groups in the face of the crisis fit with the concept of social work in helping people,thus it seems that the significance and advantages of social work in intervening in the prevention and control of the New Crown pneumonia epidemic are once again apparent.Social work,as a profession with the concept of helping people,has special advantages in the prevention and control process of the Newcastle pneumonia epidemic.It can give full play to its role in the emotional relief of individuals and families and rescue from distress,and coordinate resources from all parties to reduce the negative impact of the Newcastle pneumonia epidemic on society.Although social work in China has been involved in some major crises in the past,this epidemic is very different from previous public crises in which it has been involved,and its experience in epidemic prevention and control is seriously insufficient.In addition,social work faced not only the question of its identity but also the embarrassment of its role outside the epidemic prevention and control system.At present,Chinese scholars’ research on social work participation in epidemic prevention and control mainly emphasizes the role of social workers as front-line actors in prevention and control from the comprehensive perspective of grassroots social governance.This paper,however,explores the multiple dilemmas and causes of social work involvement in epidemic prevention and control from the perspective of the practice of social work involvement in prevention and control and the dilemmas faced by social workers,and puts forward realistic suggestions to provide empirical basis for social work involvement in the prevention and control of public crisis events in the post-epidemic period.Based on the real situation in China,this paper takes social work intervention in the prevention and control of the New Crown epidemic as the research object,discusses the special professional advantages of social work participation in the prevention and control of the New Crown epidemic through the use of literature research method and case study method,explores the role of social workers in the prevention and control of the epidemic,correctly understands the role of social work in the prevention and control of the epidemic,and seeks to establish a government-led,multisectoral collaboration,and A government-led,multisectoral collaboration and resource-sharing operational mechanism can enhance social work’s ability to respond to similar events in the future.
