Peer relationship refers to the interactive group relationship established and developed in daily activities by individuals of the same age or degree of psychological development, including two types of peer acceptance and peer rejection.Peer communication is an important part of children’s social development research.Relevant research has found that peer relationship is not only contributes to the contributes to the development of children’s physical and mental health, but also promotes the development of children’s peer communication ability and opinion selection ability to a certain extent. Therefore, this study is intended to explore the factors affecting children’s peer relationship in early childhood, and provide a factual basis for front-line kindergarten teachers to promote children’s peer communication ability. The development of peer relationship among young children is the result of the interaction between individual factors and ecological environment, and this study is intended to explore the mechanism by which the interaction between shyness, one of the temperamental characteristics of individual factors, and the interaction with sibling relationships(families)in micro-ecological background affects the mechanism of peer relationship among young children. This study selected 1,056 children in large, middle and small classes in 2 urban and 3 rural kindergartens in Jinan and Linyi,Shandong Province.Questionnaire survey and peer nomination methods were used to investigate children’s shyness, sibling relationships, and peer relationships. The conclusion is as follows:(1)There is a significant urban-rural difference in children’s shyness. The level of urban children’s shyness is significantly lower than that of rural children, and there are no significant differences in other aspects.Sibling conflict and sibling jealousy are affected by the children’s grades. The higher the grade, the greater the possibility of children’s sibling conflict and sibling jealousy. There are significant gender differences in peer acceptance. The peer acceptance level of girls is significantly higher than that of boys, and there are no significant differences in other aspects.(2)After controlling for background variables such as gender, grade, and family socioeconomic status, sibling intimacy can positively predict peer acceptance and negatively predict peer rejection;sibling conflict and sibling jealousy can negatively predict peer acceptance;sibling conflict can positively predict peer rejection.(3)Sibling relationship plays a moderating role between shyness and peer relations. The specific performance is: shyness can significant negatively predict peer acceptance under the conditions of low sibling intimacy and high sibling intimacy, and the predictive effect is stronger under the conditions of high sibling intimacy;Under the conditions of low sibling conflict and low sibling jealousy, shyness was significant negatively predict peer acceptance, while shyness was not related to peer acceptance at high levels, indicating that low fellow conflict and low fellow jealousy were more predictive.Sibling intimacy can regulate the relationship between shyness and peer rejection. It is shown that shyness can significant positively predict peer rejection under the conditions of low sibling intimacy and high sibling intimacy, and the predictive effect is stronger under high sibling intimacy;sibling conflict and sibling jealousy cannot play a moderating role in shyness and peer rejection.
