| To take advantage of MOOC and remedy the shortcomings of MOOC,a new teaching model came into being,which is a new blended teaching model of SPOC(Small Private Online Course).integrates MOOC,flipped classroom and offline classroom teaching.It takes MOOC as teaching resources,and the SPOC platform and offline classroom are the classroom environment.Combined with flipped classroom,it is implemented in three stages:online preparation before class,in-class and offline communication,and after-class online improvement.This model combines online teaching and offline teaching,which can provide abundant teaching resources,and has the advantages of diversified forms of teaching organization and the teacher’s supervision of the students is more comprehensive.So it has achieved remarkable results in teaching practice in colleges and universities.Therefore,this study introduced the SPOC teaching model into junior high school chemistry teaching practice,aiming to solve the problems of junior high school students such as poor pre-class preview effect,low enthusiasm for chemistry learning,and incomplete teacher’s supervision.This study is divided into five parts:Part 1:Introduction.The research background of this paper is as follows:there are some defects in traditional teaching,and the SPOC model has become a hot spot for education research.Based on this research background,this paper,through consulting a large amount of literature,summarized the research about the SPOC teaching models in domestic and foreign countries.Finally,it is found that there is no research on applying the SPOC teaching model in junior high school chemistry teaching.Part 2:The related concept identification and theoretical basis.This paper discusses the relevant theoretical basis,such as the theory of mastery learning theory,learning pyramid theory,and constructivism theory.SPOC and teaching model is defined,and the connotation is analyzed.This part defines the concept of SPOC and teaching model,and illustrates the theoretical basis for the implementation of the SPOC teaching model.Part 3:Construction of SPOC Teaching Model for Junior High School Chemistry.The model construction is mainly divided into the following four parts:the basis of SPOC model construction,the link of SPOC model construction,the implementation conditions of SPOC model and the evaluation design.Part 4:Apply the instructional designs of SPOC teaching model to practice and analyze the results obtained from practice.Through the investigation of the current situation of chemistry learning of junior middle school students,it is found that the students have little interest in chemistry.At the same time,lack of supervision from teachers will result in low learning efficiency of students.An investigation was carried out on whether the SPOC model was feasible.Which showed that it is feasible to implement the SPOC model in urban day schools.In order to systematically observe the learning effect of students,the teaching practices of the three instructional designs are all designed based on the constructed SPOC model,which are "Water Purification","Composition of Water" and "Chemical Formula and Valence".The contrastive teaching method was adopted in this study.The author used the traditional model of teaching to teach the control class and the SPOC teaching model to teach the experimental class respectively.The author plays the role of chemistry teacher in the experimental class and control class to avoid the influence of some irrelevant variables on the empirical research.Taking "Water Purification"as an example.The first stage of the SPOC model:Students in the experimental class learn on the SPOC platform selected in this study-the integrated teaching and research platform of Ying Zhi Teaching.The learning content includes resources such as guided learning plans,learning task books,micro class,PPT,etc.In practice,all the students in the experimental class can complete the online learning tasks.The second stage of the SPOC model:The teacher summarized students’ existing problems and proposed solutions through online learning before class.Offline class focuses on solving students’ problems.The third stage of the SPOC model:The teacher posted test questions on the SPOC online platform and provided personalized tutoring to students who failed the test.According to this model,the above three instructional designs are implemented respectively.After practice,a questionnaire survey was conducted on the experimental class.The results showed that 79.25 percent of the students like the SPOC teaching model and 33.97%of the students believe that they have improved their interest in chemistry learning through the SPOC model;The unit test of the two classes showed that the average scores of the experimental class and the control class were 70.32 and 65.46 respectively,and the pass rates were 75.47 percent and 69.23 percent respectively.The interviews with front-line teachers showed that they believe the teaching model is workable and they are willing to use the SPOC teaching model as a supplement to the traditional teaching model.Part 5:The sum and prospect.According to the teaching practice of the above conclusion,the application of the SPOC teaching model in junior high school chemistry teaching is effective.The SPOC teaching model has certain advantages,which can improve teaching efficiency,mobilize students’interest in chemistry learning,strengthen teachers’ supervision over students,and promote equity in education.At the end of the paper,it puts forward the research prospect on the SPOC teaching model applied in junior middle school teaching. |
