| As a famous modern British thinker,Mill lived in the social transformation period after the Industrial Revolution,which coincided with the turbulence of the European diverse social thoughts He once paid great attention to and explored various ideological movements including socialist thoughts,but finally stopped outside the gate of socialism,leaving a broad space for academic analysis for future generations.Contemporary Chinese college students are in a period of social transformation after the reform and opening up,and they are also facing the influence of diverse social thoughts.How to stick to the core socialist values has become a real problem,and Mill’s experience has become a mirror.Therefore,taking Mill’s approaching but not fully agree with socialist mental journey as a typical case,starting from the general process of ideological and political education value identification,it explores several key links in cultivating college students’ identification with socialist core values.Thereby enhancing the scientificity and effectiveness of the socialist core value Identity education for college students,and helping college students to establish correct values.This thesis is composed of the introduction part,the body part and the conclusion part,in which the body consists of three parts:The first part mainly discusses the ideological development process of Mill influenced by diverse social thoughts and once approaching socialism.Firstly,Mill’s ideological development experienced the transformation of utilitarianism from belief to transcendence;secondly,he experienced the transformation of liberalism from radical to reconciliation;Finally,he experienced the changes of socialism from opposition to approaching but not fully agreed in the end.Mill did research on various socialist thoughts ranging from utopian socialism to scientific socialism,but ultimately failed to truly enter the socialist camp.The second part mainly analyzes the reasons why Mill pays attention to research but does not fully agree with socialism from three levels of cognition,emotion and behavior.Firstly,analyze Mill’s identification of socialism at the cognitive level from the reflection of social changes,the prevalence of socialist thoughts,and the inspiration of his wife Harriet;Secondly,analyze Mill’s departure from socialism at the emotional level from his father James Mill’s words and lessons,the experience of study tours and make friends,and Mill’s personal feelings;Finally,analyze Mill’s fracture of socialism at the behavioral level from Mill’s “socialism” is utopian and Mill’s “socialism” lacks the conditions for its implementation.The third part mainly starts from the general process of ideological and political education value identification combined with the deep motivation of Mill’s not fully identifying with socialism,to consider the mirroring significance of Mill’s ideological experience on the identification of college students’ socialist core values.Firstly,to cultivate cognitive identity by playing the role of the main channel of ideological and political classroom education,focusing on the guidance of social thoughts and strengthening the intimate guidance of counselors;Secondly,to cultivate emotional identity by attaching importance to the function of family education,exerting the demonstration effect of advanced models and guiding college students to strengthen the ideals and beliefs of socialism and communism with Chinese characteristics;Finally,to cultivate behavior identity by perceiving the core values of socialism in social practice and creating favorable conditions for practicing the core values of socialism.In this way,it helps college students to incorporate the core values of socialism into their own value system,stick to them throughout their lives,and build a solid ideological foundation of the common struggle of the Chinese nation. |
