The development of the society makes the family structure simple, while doesn’t reduce the family function. At the same time, the couples are basically short of related knowledge and ability which can deal with the marriage problem, which makes the couple conflict become common. So Will this inevitably have influence on their children and the relationship between them? Can these two factors affect children’s bullying behavior eventually? What is the way to influence? Does it make any differences through children’s inner heart? This is the issue this study is interested in.Objective: The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between parental marriage conflict and children’s bullying behavior, and trying to explore the role of parent-child conflict and children’s self-esteem in it.Methods: 773 children from 4 primary and middle schools in Changsha and Yue Yang city Hunan Province were investigated using the CPIC,the Parent-Child Conflict Questionnaire, the Self-Esteem Scale and the Bullying Behavior Questionnaire. The research results are as follows:1.The children commonly have bullying and being bullied behavior. The children who are being bullied account for 74%,while bully others 49%.The children who have both bullying and being bullied behaviors account for 32%.Bullying behaviors have a close connection with being bullied behaviors. There are 43% bullies among the children who are bullied.Among bullies, the children who are being bullied account for 95%.Others account for 25%2.Child gender, grade and the degree of father’s education have significant differences.male students may have more possibilities of bullying behavior than female students. For being bullied behaviors,There are significant differences in some demographic variables such as child gender, while grade makes no differences.3.There is a significant two-fold correlation between parental marriage conflict,parent-child conflict,self-esteem and child bullying behavior.Children’s bullying behavior was significantly positively correlated with parental marriage conflict(r=0.184,p<0.01),parent-child conflict(r=0.177,p<0.01)and self-esteem(r=0.006,p<0.01).Children’s being bullied behavior was significantly positively correlated with parental marriage conflict(r=0.279,p<0.01),parent-child conflict(r=0.220,p<0.01)but negatively correlated with self-esteem(r=-0.138,p<0.01).Parental marriage conflict was significantly positively correlated with parent-child conflict(r=0.286,p<0.01)but negatively correlated with self-esteem(r=-0.397,p<0.01).Parent-child conflict was negatively correlated with self-esteem(r=-0.158,p<0.01).4.The parental marriage conflict can directly predict child’s bullying behavior, which also makes a difference through the intermediary of parent-child conflict. This indirect path“parental marriage conflict→ parent-children conflict→ bullying behavior” was moderated by self-esteem but only in high self-esteem children population.5.The parental marriage conflict can directly predict child’s being bullied behavior, which also makes a difference through the intermediary of parent-child conflict. We hereby come to the conclusion that parental marriage conflict is a risk factor of bullying behavior.Further, this mediation model may be moderated by self-esteem in children. The parental marriage conflict can directly predict child’s bullying behavior, which also makes a difference through the intermediary of parent-child conflict, and this path“parental marriage conflict→ parent-children conflict→ bullying behavior” was moderated by self-esteem.
