In the age of digitization and intelligence,learning with programming has become a new trend.Scratch programming has gradually appeared the elementary school information technology classes.As an introductory software for programming,it has generated great advantages in cultivating the creative thinking of primary school students.However,there are many problems in the today’s scratch classroom teaching mode.The learning mode of the scratch course is mainly taught by traditional offline teachers,and most of work conducted by students are imitating teachers mechanically.There is no specific teaching mode and method in this course,and the focus of teaching is mostly on the mastery of knowledge and skills,without paying attention to cultivating students’ creative thinking.The "4c teaching method" created by Lego Education is based on constructivism and the concept of "learning for creation".It includes four learning stages: connect,construct,contemplate,and continue,which can effectively stimulate learners’ curiosity mind and creativity,promoting the internalization of knowledge transfer and the occurrence of deep learning.It is an effective teaching method for cultivating students’ creative thinking,which has the same design philosophy as scratch.In scratch education and teaching,we need a teaching model that is compatible with innovative ideas and can be effectively implemented as a teaching support,followed by conducting preliminary design and practice.Therefore,this article attempts to apply the 4c teaching method to the online teaching of the primary school scratch course,forming a primary school scratch online teaching based on the 4c teaching method,in order to change the traditional teaching mode and method.In response to the above situation,this article has done the following research: firstly,find the domestic and foreign paper with relevant research purpose,analyze the current situation of domestic and foreign research,and propose the content and significance of the research;Secondly,carry out theoretical combing,separately discuss the related concepts of“4c teaching method” and scratch course,introduce related learning theories,which are laying the theoretical foundation for the development of follow-up research;Then,carry out the secondary design and development of the "4c teaching method",analyze the teaching content of the scratch classroom,and come up with the model design according to the design principles of the "4c teaching method".At the same time,we also need to practice according to the model.These steps are all conducive to examining the application effect of the model,conducting quasi-experimental research,and comparing the learning situation of the experimental group and the control group in the scratch course.After this,in the practical effect analysis stage,based on the works submitted by the students and the satisfaction questionnaire we collected,the teaching effect is analyzed from two aspects.The first part is to analyze the learning effects of students from the following four categories: basic knowledge,programming operations,creative practice and expression demonstration.The second part is to study students’ creative thinking and learning interest by analyzing students’ attitudes towards scratch online courses by using “4c teaching method”,students’ learning situation and their ability improvement after whole course learning.Finally,summarize the research results of this article,point out the deficiencies of this research and the prospects of future research.Studies have shown that primary school scratch online teaching based on the “4c teaching method” can effectively stimulate students’ interest in learning,improve learners’ ability to analyze and solve problems by connecting with reality and boldly construct reflections,and finally achieve the cultivation of students’ creative thinking.At the same time,the scratch works and satisfaction questionnaires submitted by students also show that students’ self-efficacy and learning enthusiasm have been significantly improved.It is hoped that this research can bring some help to elementary school students in enhancing their interest in programming learning and cultivating creative thinking.
