| Employment is fundamental to people’s livelihood.It bears on the vital interests of the people,the overall development of the country and social harmony and stability.China is the country with the largest population and labor force in the world,and the employment task is very arduous.With the continuous increase of the total labor force in China,a series of social problems such as the large migration of floating population to cities and the lack of quality caused by the relatively low education level of labor force are common.Since the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC),meetings at all levels of the CPC Central Committee have made it clear that it is necessary to keep employment stable and strive to improve mechanisms for promoting fuller and higher quality employment.In order to further stabilize employment,we need to put forward higher requirements for the quality of employment while constantly improving the employment rate.This paper attempts to explore the different effects of different education levels on the quality of employment in China through empirical analysis.The analysis makes the government pay more attention to the promoting effect of education levels on the quality of employment in order to provide suggestions for improving the quality of workers and the employment quality.Based on the research,this paper studied the employment quality based on the data of 2015 and 2017 Chinese General Social Survey by combing and analyzing previous relevant literature.On the basis of finishing the screening data,first of all to descriptive statistical analysis of samples,respectively from the individual characteristics,the family level,social attitudes,three dimension analysis of basic situation of China’s employment quality,determine the employment quality of four subentry index weights are given to measure obtain employment quality index,comprehensive index,constructed the OLS,Probit,Multinomial Probit three different regression model;Secondly,with the help of data,this paper analyzes the status quo of the education level and employment quality of the employed persons in China from the overall level and the specific level respectively.The overall level is divided into the public sector and the private sector,and the specific level includes gender,age,urban and rural areas and economic status and other dimensions.Thirdly,an empirical study is conducted to analyze the impact of education level on employment quality of employees in 2017 through three different estimation methods,and an economic explanation is carried out for the main explanatory variables and four sub-indicators of the explained variables.In addition,in order to deeper research on the public sector and private sector affected by the degree of education on employment quality is different,in this paper,according to the work unit type the whole data is divided into two parts: public and private sectors,respectively will be treated as two separate parts do regression and comparison analysis,and respectively based on gender and the dimension for the study of effect of heterogeneity.Finally,in order to further prove the reliability and effectiveness of the research model,this paper adopts the2015 CGSS data to carry out the same processing,verifying that the model has a good robustness effect.Finally,according to the results of empirical analysis,conclusions are drawn and countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to improve the employment quality of the employed by improving the education level.The empirical results show that different types and degrees of education have different significant effects on employment quality.Both the general education level and the vocational education can significantly improve the employment quality of the employees,and the impact of the vocational education in junior high school on the employment quality is more significant than that of the general education in junior high school,while the effect of the university is just the opposite.Regardless of the type of education received,the education level has a significant positive impact on the employment quality,and the higher the education level is,the greater the impact range will be on the employment quality of employees.In both public and private sectors,the education level has a significant impact on the quality of employment,and the private sector has a significantly higher degree of significance than the public sector,which is mainly reflected in the working hours,income,social security level and job stability of employees.In addition,there are gender and urban-rural differences in the influence of education level on employment quality.Based on the theoretical results of the above research on the influence of education level on employment quality,from the perspective of long-term sustainable development,government departments should attach importance to the promotion of education level on employment quality in the next step.Firstly,to improve the overall education level of the employed people in China,the education level can promote more full and higher quality employment;Encourage on-the-job education and improve the quality of employment by improving employment skills and expertise.Second,to improve the overall level of employment quality in China,it is necessary to enhance the employment quality and ability of the employed personnel and narrow the gap between urban and rural employment quality.Thirdly,we should improve the employment system guarantee of our country’s employed personnel,standardize the employment system of units,establish a correct concept of job selection,and consciously safeguard their legitimate rights and interests.To sum up,multiple measures are taken simultaneously to improve the overall level of employment quality in China. |
