As an important part of the U.S.education system,Career and Technical Education(CTE)has contributed to the development of the U.S.economy,and the U.S.Career and Technical Education Student Organization(CTSOs),as an important part of CTE,is mainly for vocational school students who participate in CTE programs,and its most basic purpose is to provide guidance for students’ career exploration,and through the organization of various activities,the organic combination of practice and professional The most basic purpose of the program is to provide guidance to students in their career exploration,to improve their overall quality and vocational skills,and to prepare them for future employment and a better life.The U.S.federal government has been supporting the development of career and technical education student organizations in the U.S.A series of bills have been enacted from the national level to support the development of career and technical student organizations,which is the key to ensuring the international competitiveness of the U.S.and the future career development of students.On January 29,2019,the State Council issued a notice on the National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Program,and the official implementation of this program implementation marks that the development of vocational education in China has entered a new era.However,as for the present,China’s voc ational education student organizations building have made some progress,there are still such things as insufficient institutional framework for vocational education student organizations,less external communication and exchange of student organizations,and lack of guidance for students’ career planning in the development process.In terms of talent training,there are still problems such as unclear training objectives and unscientific training mode,and the practical activities are not closely connected with professional theories in the specific training process.Compared with the student organizations of general education,the student organizations of vocational education do not take up the responsibilities as the second classroom and do not form the characteristics of the student organizations of vocational education.This paper summarizes the theoretical foundation and historical development of career and technical education student organizations in the U.S.,summarizes their development and characteristics,and on this basis,explains the operation process and guarantee mechanism of career and technical education student organizations in the U.S.,further analyzes their implementation effectiveness and problems,and uses the case study of career and technical education student organizations in New Jersey to obtain The study also takes the career and technical education student organization in New Jersey as a case study,and aims to obtain reference experience from it,so as to provide reference and reference for the development of vocational education student organizations in China.In view of the reality of the development of vocational education student organizations in China,we try to provide new ideas for the development of vocational education student organizations in China in terms of improving the institutional framework of vocational education student organizations,establishing a guarantee mechanism for vocational education student organizations,focusing on skills education,and carrying out career education.
