The quality of employment is closely related to the long-term development of students and also reflects the quality of training in colleges. In order to achieve highquality employment, colleges pay more and more attention to the academic participation and social participation behaviors of students during their school period, and provide them with a variety of activity opportunities.Students also choose appropriate activities to participate in according to their own interests and development needs. However, the importance of the two types of participation in the improvement of employment quality is still unknown, and it is not yet known how students of different major types and employment orientations should focus on the two types of participation. Therefore, paying attention to the relationship between academic participation, social participation and employment quality of students during the school period, constructing a graduate employment quality evaluation index system, and exploring how to coordinate academic participation and social participation to improve graduate employment quality are important issues to be solved urgently. In order to solve the above problems, this research proposes research hypotheses on the basis of reviewing and reviewing the existing literature on student participation, employability, employment quality, the connotation, dimensions, and related factors.A questionnaire survey was conducted on the employment quality of college graduates in Shanghai in 2020,and some students were interviewed.Secondly, this study analyzes the current characteristics and related relationships of graduate student participation, employability and employment quality, and studies the heterogeneity of variables in gender, student origin, type of institution, type of major and type of occupation. Finally, based on the above analysis results, this research constructs a model of the impact of academic participation and social participation on employment quality, and examines the mediating effect of employability on the relationship of "student participation→employment quality",and tests the moderating effects of demographic variables and pedagogical variables on different relationship paths.Based on data statistics and interview records, this study draws the following conclusions: First, the level of academic participation and social participation of college students is generally high.Compared with academic participation, current college graduates in our country pay more attention to social participation, and the degree of social participation is significantly higher than academic participation.Second, academic participation, social participation, employability and employment quality, and their various dimensions all have different degrees of correlation. The correlation between employability and employment quality is the strongest.Third, there are differences in academic participation, social participation, employability, and employment quality in terms of gender, place of origin, type of profession, type of institution, and type of occupation. In the sample, female, urban,"literature, history, philosophy and art" majors,first-class universities and first-class discipline construction universities, foreign companies and graduates from within the system have higher evaluations of the quality of employment.Fourth, there is a significant intermediary path of "social participation → employability →employment quality",while the path "academic participation→employability→employment quality" does not exist.Fifth, professional type and occupation type play a moderating effect between social participation and employability, and between employability and employment quality.Based on the above results, this article suggests that we can start with both universities and students to jointly promote the employment quality of college graduates: colleges and universities need to play a dual-core driving effect of academic participation and social participation, and establish a student participation evaluation mechanism;students need to combine Employment goals, select the appropriate type of activity participation,in order to improve employability.
