With the development of network technology and the popularization of new media communication,image has become a basic way of human information exchange,and the research on image has opened up space.Every corner of human life has fallen the shadow of image culture.In the process of ideological and political education,especially in the teaching of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities,the educational mode of image narration is impacting the mode of language or text narration.An image and text coexist in the ideological and political education era map is being launched.Starting from the image narration,this paper first clarifies the meaning of the word image,and makes a supplementary explanation to the image of ideological and political education.The image of ideological and political education has the value of "seeking beauty" and "being good" in its use.This paper explains the dual meaning of image narrative,that is," narrative of image " and " image of narrative ".The main connotation of image narration is summed up: image narration is the meaning and function of visual elements,that is,image giving narration,which expresses a thing and meaning through image,and compares image narrative with text narrative and language narrative.On the basis of defining the above concepts and connotations,this paper discusses the function of image narration and the possibility of applying it to ideological and political courses in colleges and universities.Image narration has the functions of educational content visualization,image shaping and value identification,which is urgently needed in ideological and political courses in colleges and universities.The use of image narration in ideological and political courses in colleges and universities is the inherent requirement of the development of ideological and political education itself,the requirement of the conformity between educational content and image symbols,and the demand of the subject of education for images.In terms of feasibility,with the development of narrative theory,under the new development momentum of narrative pedagogy,ideological and political education image narration can enhance the impact and appeal of ideological and political education.Compared with the "hard cognition" of traditional knowledge education,image cognition is a kind of soft cognition.Nowadays,the image narration of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities faces many opportunities and challenges.On the one hand,the innovation of information technology brings about the change of cognitive mode of educational object,the educational environment begins to change,and the application of multimedia is almost essential in classroom today.On the other hand,educators’ dominant vacillation in image communication environment,rational thinking degradation of educational objects in image cognitive logic,fragmentation of image symbols carrying educational information have also become obstacles in image narrative development.To explore the effective countermeasures of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities from the perspective of contemporary image dissemination,we should pay attention to the ideological value of images,improve the image narrative ability of educators,and pay attention to the cultivation of image literacy of educational objects,from the image content itself.Educators and educational objects three aspects.
