Parents are important others in the process of infant growth and development.Parenting education plays an important role in improving parents’ scientific parenting ability and family care for infants,and has an important impact on infants’ physical and mental development.However,the current social parent education service supply is difficult to meet the growing family demand.This study selected P district and Q district early education institutions in Shanghai as the research objects,and used the questionnaire method to investigate the status quo and influencing factors of parenting education needs of 0-3-year-old infants in the two districts.Secondly,using the interview method to investigate the current situation of parent vocational education supply in the two districts,and coding the interview results in three levels.On this basis,the supply and demand of parenting education for 0-3 years old infants are discussed.The results show that: At the first,the demand level of parenting education of0-3-year-old infants is generally high,and the scores of "parenting knowledge and skills","social support" and "communication and exchange" are the highest.Through data analysis,it is found that there are differences in parents’ educational background,family structure and monthly family income.Second,the main supply body of parenting education for 0-3-year-old infants is single,the supply content focuses on parenting knowledge,and the supply form is mainly collective guidance.In the process of providing parenting education,early education institutions mainly face the dilemma of lack of relevant supply system,clear responsibilities and lack of supply evaluation system.Based on the research results,the author further discusses and thinks about the relationship between supply and demand of parent vocational education.Based on the above conclusions,the author puts forward the following suggestions from the government,early education institutions and families: the government should give full play to the "supporting" function to promote the development of parent vocational education;early education institutions should upgrade service efficiency and optimize the supply of parent vocational education;families should pay attention to their own "subject" positioning,and parents should actively improve parent vocational efficiency.
