| The pandemic in early 2020 accelerated the Internet’s penetration in people’s lives,among which online education has gradually attracted people’s attention.Meanwhile,with more children learning English at a younger age,all kinds of preschool English online classes emerge.Up to now,A new mode called ‘Preschool English Live Broadcast Co-teaching Classroom’ has become the focus of people’s discussion.This thesis takes the Wonderful Minds Classroom as an example,analyzes its current situation and the quality of teachers’ interactive behavior,tries to provide feasible suggestions to improve the quality of all the Preschool English Live Broadcast Co-teaching Classroom.Taking adapted FIAS as an observationg tool,classroom observation method,as well as data collection method,interview method were used in this study to show the Wonderful Minds Classroom’s course situation,teaching process,teaching methods,interaction situation and the quality of teacher’s interaction behavior.The results show that in WM,the classroom is dominated by teachers,although the classroom order is good,children do not have open and equal opportunities;teachers tend to use direct language and behavior to affect children,and children have few opportunities to express themselves;teachers seldom ask questions,and almost do not use open questions to let children think;teachers pay attention to children’s emotions at the beginning of the classroom,and provide a safe environment for children’s learning;teachers’ feedback is too simple,and cannot expand children’s learning;two teachers perform their duties well and cooperate to promote children’s learning.To solve WM’s problem,this study puts forward for suggestions: reduce direct teaching language appropriately,use technology to give children time for observation,thinking and discussion;add more questions so as to arouse children’s thinking and provide opportunities for expression;improve the quality of feedback,and expand children’s learning by more description and explanation of children’s answers;teachers should learn from each other,change educational ideas and methods,and provide more professional and personalized support for children.Finally,the study puts forward some suggestions and prospects for all the Preschool English Live Broadcast Co-teaching Classrooms: choose appropriate teaching content;adopt various English teaching methods;pay attention to teachers’ interactive behavior in children’s English learning;reduce the division of responsibilities of two teachers;integrate technology into teaching to help children connect digital society;open resources,improve connection between classrooms and homes to promote children’s self-learning;construct a community model of home-co-teaching. |
