| Xi Jinping pointed out that our party has always attached great importance to the construction of ideological and political courses. In each historical period of revolution, construction, and reform, our party has made important arrangements for the construction of ideological and political courses.During the period of the New Democratic Revolution, our party set up such courses as “Party Construction”,“History of Chinese Revolutionary Movement”,"Marxism-Leninism",“Dialectical Materialism”,and “Scientific Socialism” etc.at the Red Army University,Soviet University and other colleges and universities, while Lenin Primary School offers a“Social Work” course. As a pioneering exploration during the partial ruling period, the construction of ideological and political courses in the Central Soviet Area has achieved extraordinary results and left valuable experience. This experience still has important reference significance for the current construction of ideological and political courses in our country. However,at present, the construction of Ideological and political course in the Central Soviet area has not attracted the attention of the academia. In order to make up for this defect, this paper makes a special study on the ideological and political courses such as “Political Lesson” and “Political Common Sense” in the Central Soviet region with the method of literature research and case study. This paper consists of six parts. The first part analyzes the reasons for the construction of ideological and political courses in the Central Soviet Area. There are three main reasons for this.Firstly,it is the tradition of our party to pay attention to ideological and political education.Secondly, revolutionary forces such as cadres and Red Army troops cannot fully meet the needs of revolutionary struggle.Thirdly, taking ideological and political courses was an efficient means to carry out ideological and political education at that time. The second part explains the construction of the faculty of ideological and political courses in the Central Soviet Area. The ideological and political class faculty team faced a dilemma of serious shortage at the time.In order to solve this problem, the Party Central Committee has made various efforts.Firstly, countless party and government leaders have stepped onto the podium of ideological and political courses.Secondly,a group of workers and peasants’ own ideological and political teachers have been created through temporary training in short-term training courses and long-term training in normal schools.Thirdly, reform old intellectuals to be ideological and political teachers. Finally, improve the remuneration of teachers and stabilize the team of ideological and political teachers. The third part studies the curriculum and teaching content of ideological and political courses in the Central Soviet Area.Different types of educational objects lead to different curriculum and teaching contents. For example, the ideological and political courses in the military education are divided into three categories: ordinary, special, and cadre. The ordinary and special classes learn basic political knowledge and higher-level political knowledge respectively, while the purpose of the cadre class is to improve political level. The fourth part combs the selection and compilation of teaching materials for ideological and political courses in the Central Soviet Area.At that time, the selection and compilation of textbooks faced the problem that textbooks with feudal and bourgeois ideas could not be used, and there were almost no textbooks of Marxist theory and proletarian thought. To solve this problem, the Central Soviet Area replaced the old textbooks with some temporary materials from the party and the government in the outset, such as manifesto and leaflets, and then organized a special team to compile ideological and political textbooks. With the efforts of the Ministry of Education, various departments and units, more than 20 ideological and political textbooks have been compiled, including “Politics Textbooks”,“Soviet Citizens”,and “Political Issues”.The compilation of teaching materials fully considered the educational policy at the time and the actual situation of the students, and embodied the characteristics of revolution, innovation, and popularity. The fifth part discusses the teaching methods of ideological and political courses in the Central Soviet Area.At that time, ideological and political courses mainly used heuristics, discussion and question-and-answer methods. In teaching, adhere to the principle of combining theory with practice, centering on heuristics, used multiple methods as a set,and flexibly selected appropriate teaching methods according to different educational objects. The sixth part summarizes the effectiveness of the construction of ideological and political courses in the Central Soviet Area and the enlightenment to the current construction of ideological and political courses.Among them, the results are mainly summarized from three aspects:classroom effect, knowledge learning, and action transformation. At the same time, based on the successful experience of the ideological and political course in the Central Soviet Area, three enlightenments were summed up.First of all,the historical practice of leading cadres in the Central Soviet Area to become the core force of ideological and political teachers has shown that teaching ideological and political courses by leading cadres is an inherent requirement for running ideological and political courses.Next, the content of the ideological and political courses in the Central Soviet Area closely revolves around the historical experience of the revolutionary struggle, which shows that the teaching content relies on the main tasks and helps maximize the effectiveness of the ideological and political courses.Lastly, the experience of the ideological and political course in the Central Soviet area has achieved good results through flexible teaching methods shows that the key to realize the task of Ideological and Political course is to take heuristic teaching as the core and flexibly adopt a variety of teaching methods. |
