The Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of After-School Extended Service In Elementary Schools In Chengdu

In April 2019,Chengdu Education Bureau issued the Implementation Opinions of Chengdu Primary and Secondary School Students’ After-class Delayed Service(hereinafter referred to as the "Opinions").The "advice" is mainly to help parents solve the problem of picking up their children and stop the unbridled development of the after-school care market;At the same time,it is also conducive to make full use of after-school time,promote the healthy growth of students,improve the quality of education,enhance the ability of education service,so that the common people have more sense of gain and happiness.Now two years have passed,how is the implementation status of after-school extended service for primary school students in Chengdu? Does the curriculum meet students’ needs? Is the faculty allocation scientific and reasonable? Can Service Hours Solve Parents’ Pickup Problem? Is the fee standard appropriate? Many questions remain to be explored in depth.As an important part of the cost sharing of after-school extended service,parents are also the beneficiaries of after-school extended service.They pay close attention to the trend of after-school extended service.From the perspective of parents’ satisfaction,this study intends to examine the problems existing in the implementation of after-school extended service in primary schools in Chengdu,analyze the causes of the problems,and try to find solutions,so as to help optimizing the after-school extended service in primary schools in Chengdu,and improve parents’ satisfaction with after-school extended service.From the perspective of parents’ satisfaction,this study studies the after-school extended service in Chengdu elementary schools.Firstly,the concept and theoretical basis of after-school extended service are clarified by sorting out relevant domestic and foreign literatures.Then,based on the sampling of purpose,a public primary school in Chengdu where the author practiced was selected as a sample for investigation.On the basis of the existing research results and combining with the initial interview of parents on the satisfaction of after-school extended service,the main contents of the survey are defined,that is,after-school extended service courses,time,facilities and equipment,teachers allocation and daily management.Then,the sample school was investigated to understand the status quo of parents’ satisfaction with after-school extended service in Chengdu primary schools.At the same time,based on the survey results,the problems and causes of after-school extended service in primary schools in Chengdu were analyzed.Finally,on the basis of theoretical research and investigation research,this paper puts forward the optimization path of after-school extended service in primary schools in Chengdu.The results show that parents are generally satisfied with the extended after-school service in primary schools in Chengdu,and their satisfaction with the extended after-school service teachers is at a medium level,while their satisfaction with the extended after-school service time and service content is low.The main reasons for extended after-school service in primary schools in Chengdu include low service consciousness,single teachers allocation,relatively fixed time and insufficient curriculum.Finally,this paper puts forward the optimization path of after-school extended service in primary schools in Chengdu from the aspects of diversified selection of after-school extended service time,increasing the flexibility of the curriculum,and constructing the service evaluation mechanism and family-school linkage mechanism.
