Purpose: Campus football is an effective way to cultivate the physical and mental development of young people,and it is also a powerful means to realize a "healthy China".From the perspective of the theory of youth active development,this research studies the positive qualities of middle school football players in Guangdong Province and the factors that affect the active development of middle school football players in Guangdong Province,helping middle school football players to form good positive qualities,thereby promoting the development of campus football.Methods: This study used the "Adolescent Active Development" scale and the "Factors Affecting the Active Development of Middle School Student Football Players" questionnaire.The survey was conducted on 284 football players,35 coaches and local governments participating in the 2020 Guangdong Provincial "Governor Cup" Youth Campus Football League.347 non-football players middle school students in the city conducted a survey.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS25.0,independent sample T test and one-way analysis of variance were used for differences between groups,and factor analysis was used for influencing factors.Results:(1)The total positive quality score of middle school football players was3.66±0.40;the total positive quality score of non-football players was 3.38±0.43.There are significant differences in the scores of non-soccer middle school students and middle school football players in various dimensions of positive quality(P<0.01).(2)There are differences in the positive quality scores of football players of different sports levels(P<0.05),which are mainly manifested in the dimensions of interest and curiosity,flexible innovation,leadership,self-regulation,and positive optimism.The higher the academic performance level,the higher the positive quality scores of football players,and there are differences in the dimensions of love for learning,the dimensions of interest and curiosity,the dimensions of flexible innovation,the dimensions of leadership,and the dimensions of self-regulation(P<0.05).The positive quality scores of football players in urban areas are higher than those in rural areas,and there are differences in the dimensions of interest and curiosity,flexibility and innovation,honesty and integrity,leadership,positive and optimistic,and care and friendliness(P<0.05).Male football players scored higher than female football players in the dimensions of flexible innovation and leadership(P<0.05).Football players of different sports years only have differences in scores in the positive and optimistic dimensions(P<0.05).(3)Factors affecting the active development of middle school football players: training factor,home-school factor,social factor,coach factor,athletic ability factor,security factor,self factor,team factor.Conclusion:(1)The total score of active quality of middle school football players is higher than that of non-soccer middle school students.(2)There are differences in the positive quality scores of middle school football players of different sports levels,sports years,academic performance,urban and rural areas,and gender.(3)The most important factors affecting the active development of middle school football players: training factors,home-school factors and social factors.
