| The construction of first-class universities and first-class disciplines has become a major event in the field of higher education,guiding teachers to love teaching,research teaching,devoting themselves to teaching and students has become a requirement of the times for the development of higher education.In January 2021,the Ministry of Education and other six departments have jointly issued guidance on teacher team building,which reflects the high attention in the national and government levels for teacher professional development.Scholarship of teaching ability is an important manifestation of promoting teachers’ professional growth and improving teaching literacy,the value of development is bound to be more prominent.First of all,the research is based on the academic theory of scholarship of teaching,combined with current related research to explore the connotation and elements of scholarship of teaching ability,and constructs the evaluation contents of scholarship of teaching ability.Secondly,the research takes the "double first-class" university teachers of L University as the sample,through the questionnaire and interview to understand the teacher development status of L University’s scholarship of teaching ability,trying to analyze the problems in the development process and the reasons behind them,and then to improve the scholarship of teaching ability of university teachers,aiming to provide reference for further study.The study found that the current overall development level of the scholarship of teaching ability of L University teachers is good.Specifically,the teacher development status in teacher-student communication is better,but the development in other areas is uneven,with high and low levels.Teachers have the following problems in the development of scholarship of teaching ability: From the perspective of individual teachers,the scholarship of teaching concepts are vague,the knowledge structure is unreasonable,the initiative of teaching research is not strong,the outcomes of teaching research are less;from the perspective of the academic environment,teaching management ignores the needs of teacher professional development,and the scholarship of teaching community has not yet formed;From the perspective of the school system,the teacher education and teaching training system needs to be systematized,the teaching evaluation system needs to be optimized,and the teacher incentive system needs to be improved and etc.Based on the analysis of the problem and the revealing of the reasons,the path to improve the scholarship of teaching ability of teachers is as follows: individual teachers must actively update their own ideas and actively carry out teaching research;the support level of institutions should pay attention to the needs of teachers and strengthen the construction of scholarship of teaching organizations;at the level of system security,it need to strengthen the scholarship of teaching evaluation standards of teaching,improve the teaching incentive system,and systematize the teaching and training system.Taking multiple measures simultaneously can promote the improvement of teachers’ scholarship of teaching ability. |
