Since the new century,in order to comply with the coupling trend of schools and society,the practical trend of knowledge production and the professional trend of talent cultivation,the state has clearly pointed out the requirements and direction of the reform of China's higher education development mode,that is,to strengthen the construction of the applied universities.And the intension-type development with the core of improving teaching quality has become the main theme of the development of applied universities.However,the current applied universities still have the tendency of “emphasizing scientific research over teaching research”,which has affected the enthusiasm of teachers for teaching research to some extent.With the request of Minister of education Chen Baosheng's "return to teaching",the presentation and development of the theory of scholarship of teaching and learning is providing new thoughts for the teaching returning of applied universities.First of all,this research explores the theory of scholarship of teaching and learning of applied universities teachers.Based on the theory of scholarship of teaching and learning and the teachers' interviews,combined with the characteristics of the applied universities,deconstruction of teachers' scholarship of teaching and learning is divided into four dimensions of concept,knowledge,reflection and communication,and evaluation indicators are constructed.In addition,the influencing factors of scholarship of teaching and learning are expounded from the two aspects of colleges and teachers.Secondly,this research takes three applied universities in Shanghai as an example,and conducts in-depth research on the current situation of teachers' scholarship of teaching and learning in those colleges through questionnaires and interviews,trying to explore the problems and reasons in scholarship of teaching and learning in the current applied universities,and try to give advise to improve current situation.This research finds that the current situations of teachers' scholarship of teachingand learning development in applied universities are as follows: Firstly,the level of teachers' scholarship of teaching and learning in applied universities is generally good,but the development is not balanced.Secondly,the colleges support and individuals willingness have a significant predictive effect on the development of scholarship of teaching and learning.Thirdly,teachers' input time in scholarship of teaching and learning is not proportional to the output of the results.More input and less output.The reasons lie in that the quality of teachers' scholarship of teaching and learning needs to be improved;the college neglects teachers' needs in developing scholarship of teaching and learning;there is a lack of the guarantee of the institutional environment of scholarship of teaching and learning at the school level.In the end,the promotion strategies of the scholarship of teaching and learning in applied universities are as follows: In terms of concept guidance,institutions should pay attention to the value of scholarship of teaching and learning and create a positive atmosphere;teachers should update the traditional academic concepts and strengthen the awareness of scholarship of teaching and learning.In terms of implementation,firstly,teachers should actively carry out scholarship of teaching and learning and comprehensively improve their personal qualities.Secondly,colleges should pay attention to actual situation to implement the policy.Thirdly,schools should conform to the teachers' demands and improve the design of system.
